A small trailer works really well, and too will use it for a lot of things you never even thought of. I am trucking my tenere to a rally 10 hrs away and am concerned about getting it in and out of the back of the truck. I’ve loaded dirt bikes using a ramp and have gotten the technique down pat. But a 600lb bike is a whole new ball of wax.so there are days where I might feel like today is a day to ride , problem is how to get it to the riding area . I bought a ramp so I can load at the house but I have to back up to a large mound in the backyard to keep it low enough to load safely . never much thought the ram 2500 4x4 would be an issue but it is . to damn tall on level ground to push the bike up the ramp safely or to unload the bike especially by ones self. the 7.5 ft ramp is to short to lesson the angle. so I am thinking of buying a new trailer , something small for the bike . I have a 18 footer for my tractor and I might have to start using it in the mean time , but might look a little much with a puny little dirt bike on it. but the floor is 12 inches off the ground not 41 inches of my tuck , and that is stock height ,no lift . I talked to a guy using 10 ft ramps at the track ( his truck was lifted and taller than mine ) and he said works great but has never felt very safe in using them . so I exploring small trailers now, and so it goes.
