BTW, no need to be fast. You have one of the best bikes for just plunking around on the trails. It's all about having fun as we get older. My days of super hard stuff is very limited these days. Mellow trail riding is the best.

Today madhatter and I spent most of the day riding the bike around we had a great time.

We made it to the local track today.
Soil was very good.
This track is in the corner of a guys farm field and has been there for at least 35 years.
Anyone on a bike can ride there and no fee and you don't even have to ask him.
Did I say "nice guy!"

so I take the "X" to carrots place and we share , put 20 miles on it today . I tried to just get used to the bike , and its feeling better every ride .... that small ditch was good basic throttle and clutch and riding position practice for me. and I am amazed at the work out I have received just putting around in 1st gear mostly . also getting used to the boots...

the electric starter is not working because the original battery is not holding a charge , ive kept it on a trickle charger , but it died anyway. so Friday I will pickup a new battery . fun.

got home yesterday and found a brand new battery on the porch, my neighbor bought it for me . an unexpected blessing , good to have goods neighbors . so will be able to ride Saturday without kicking it to life all day long.

so a problem, new battery does not fit . not surprised , how often does a parts guy ever get it right the first time. so I will take it to the dealer after work today and exchange for correct size. it was nice of my neighbor to gift this for me , and he is no rookie about bikes . it is all on the parts guy.

had to work Saturday , and Sunday was a church day , then sat on couch and watched golf . exciting . I am thinking I will get to old to ride before I ever wear out the honda….. averaging 10 miles a month .

the weekend is almost here ….. wife says we are going to her family reunion.... at least there will be food.

and stormy weather , tornado warnings , hail every where , and rain like ive not seen or driven in in a vary long time. found two KTM riders taking shelter at a convenience store as the rain poured down, they didn't plan the trip to well , heading to Arkansas they said. great story if they survive....

not sure about work today after all this rain, but have COTA to look forward to this Friday. and as I have not been able to ride the "X" lately, I can at least farkle it , so acerbis hand guards are ordered , should be here by Friday. ordered them in red.
