I wanted something up by my hand so I could turn my lights on fast. I was also looking at adding some type of indicator to let me know if I left the driving lights on. Or if I had them on during the day time.. I found this pretty cool switch that did all that for me. I made up this little bracket to hold the switch. Now I have it on a relay so I cant leave it on with the ignition turned off but it will tell me when the driving lights are on or off... Kinda cool, works perfect for my needs.. Now I can flip them on or off in one second. Red, indicates the driving lights are off. Green indicated the driving lights are on....

Jaxon -

Where'd you find that switch? Are the 3 red buttons for heated grips?

I got the switch at an Auto parts joint.... The three button switch is wired into my dash.. I NEVER have to reach up to the dash buttons anymore.. They are right next to my hand... Probably one of the best Mod's of done on this bike..... ::008::

The 3 button switch is from Trailtech - actually for one of their 'Vector 'speedo assemblies. It is used to remote the 3 buttons on the instrument cluster (the main 2, and the TC button on the side). Tiger_One did it first on the ST back in Aug 2011, following what I did on my Triumph Tiger back in 2008.

It is one of the best mods I have done on the ST, or my Tiger for that matter.

Thanks! Would it work as a controller to replace the remote dimmer for the Baja lights?

I doubt it unless you could find the portion of the dimmer circuit that the RF circuit is actually controlling, then figure out what the RF circuit is actually outputting and mimic that with the switch. Not impossible, but ...... Oh yeah, the dimmer is filled with silicon as well, just to make it harder.

Ummmm. Ok. That sounds waaaaay beyond me. :) I was thinking plug and play. It's easy to imagine when you don't know anything about electrical stuff! :D

Nope... You can have an on/off like my switch but not adjustable.. Or should I say, of course you can have anything you want.. You just need an engineer to design and develop what you want... :D

You can have the three button switch semi plug-N-play to your dash to control it, but not the lights..

Yea, those where a few of my issues dealing with the 'baja' box along with my 'noise' coming from the HID's... not a good combo.. I know just what I would like to build to have the ultimate control over the LED's but I need an engineer to bounce ideas and designs around with..

There are some smart fellers on this forum, makes me feel like a retard. But I have a high pain tolerance, so that must count for something :D

Nice switches. Great ideas.
