The news really affects my mother in law. She has stage 5 Alzheimer's. She gets all worked up over this. I think it's too much worry over something not critical.Humns are doing it to themselves. The masses especially in large cities are nothing more than lemmings that believe any crap they see on useless social media. It's not the virus that's affecting everyone including the economy. it's fear mongering news outlets and the herd mentality. Humans are so stupid.
Why are people hording bottled water? There's nothing wrong with tap water and it will keep flowing.
Tap water in my town while safe tastes horrible. I've been purchasing bottled water for many years. Tried to go with purifier but they are a pain. Good news is my refrigerator is filtered but takes a long time to fill the cup.because they lack the brain cells to figure that out. That's the honest truth.
I've got a purifier on mine, don't even really notice it's there. Just change the filter every three months.Tap water in my town while safe tastes horrible. I've been purchasing bottled water for many years. Tried to go with purifier but they are a pain.
I don't think the issue where the police can enter our home, was approved. They still nedd a judge to approve it.A status report from Denmark:
Besides the closed borders I mentioned earlier, the following have been set in motion:
All schools are closed.
All public buildings are closed.
All restaurants (except takeaway) and bars are closed.
All cinemas and theaters are closed.
All gyms are closed.
All events (sport, concerts etc.) are canceled.
All churches are closed.
Use of public transportation is restricted/regulated.
It's not allowed to be gathered more than 100 people at a time. All gatherings are discouraged.
You are not allowed to visit people in hospitals or elderly homes.
All non critical health Care is cancelled/postponed.
The authorities can enter people's homes without a court order and detain/treat anyone with the virus if they don't follow given advise.
There is no shortage of anything in the stores as import/export/transport of goods isn't effected by any of the restrictions. It's vital for the government that it stays that way.
NB. No one is shaking hands or hugs anymore.
You are right about the point that the law about entering people's homes have been cancelled. I've edited my post.I don't think the issue where the police can enter our home, was approved. They still nedd a judge to approve it.
And about the missing toilet paper, it apperently depend on where you live. In my local REMA1000 near Roskilde, there haven't been these part the last 3 days.
Toiletpaper
potatos (and most other vegetables)
wet wipe
And not much meat in the cooler
But they are supposed to get it back next week.
But I also heard that the hording is mostly a Copenhagen issue, so it makes sence that you haven't seen it.
I don't agree with the insane panic buying but milk freezes and rethaws later very well without adverse taste. I've been doing it for years as can never time finishing the gallon with my schedule for leaving on a multi week ride or trip....Milk was running low at Sams. Got to wonder what people are doing with 10 gallons of milk that only has a fridge life of a couple weeks or so...
I've been watching two maps:Not sure where you are finding information, I've found this to be a handy site (and they list their sources, you can go find the raw data in their blog as well): https://informationisbeautiful.net/visualizations/covid-19-coronavirus-infographic-datapack/
Got to try and catch the upside of things!
