The sun is trying to come out today and it's forecast to get up to 77F, so I'm going to go track down the highest point in Mississippi and ride there. It's an epic 807 feet (246 m) above sea level, so hopefully I won't be too out of breath when I get to the top. ;) LINK Might have to hike the last mile in depending on road conditions.
A sign cautions visitors to prepare for a steep, unpaved, and rocky inclined road approximately a mile in length to the summit.

Ride up to the top Eric, may make for a epic RR

I'll go as far as is reasonable for street tires on the FZ-6. No S10 in the garage any more and I'm not going to take the wife's GSA, it might break! That said, I've ridden my old FJR places were few GSAs would go, so I have a certain tolerance for riding off pavement with street tires. I'll take pics and try to do a RR.

Today was real strange!! Went to get bottled water and toilet paper. 7 different stores and the shelves and isles were bare. No wipes, paper towels, toilet paper or bottled water in 4 of the 6 stores. Finally got toilet paper at some oddball name store "Grocery Outlet" waited in line for over 30 minutes to checkout. I then went to Walmart and found water. They took off the normal price for the cases and are charging 1.00 per bottle. I stocked up on over 200.00 worth of water. Keep in mind this is what I normally get every month. And it's only about 60-70 bucks for the same amount. Walgreens had water limit 2 per customer.

Have your faucets stopped running?

Taking necessary precautions, I agree is something we should all do for the greater good of all of us and health. Buying unnecessary items that are NOT required to sanitize for this outbreak is simply the sheep following each other off the cliff. People, especially in large urban areas are the most systematically dependant of them all. There is nothing you can do to all these sheep except wait until they are all off the cliff and carry on with life as usual.
For those that are in the at risk category clearly have to do the same as we all should be, only in a slightly more hyperactive way. More vigilance has to be exercised.

Other than the above, there is nothing to worry about, just something to overcome with a little intellect and time.

In Sonora Mexico today. Went to Bodega Aurrera (Walmart) and also a Sam's Club is next door. Lots of weekend shoppers as usual but carts filled normally. No shortages of anything on the shelves, zero panic buying. Hmmmmm.....and US, Canada, Australia, etc. are thought to be more educated and advanced.

I'm not brave enough to go there. The local Sonora Cartel (Caro Quintero Organization) are unpredictable and brutal. Just a few months ago an innocent group of Mormon's were ambushed and butchered alive including women and children. Last time I was in Mexico I had a gun pointed at me on the way back from my Rosarito to Ensenada bike ride. Mexico is a spooky country to travel in. I'll take my chances here in the US.

Of course the US can be just as dangerous. But at least I don't have to worry about being arrested for no reason. Un-provoked ambushes are very rare and health care is much better if I am hurt.

And when Mexico has 2000 infected people instead of 22, you may see different behavior. Everyone seems to think it can't happen where they are, until it does.

I do if I want cereal for breakfast. All the other milk substitutes are not palatable to me and seemingly many others, as that stuff is still on the shelf.

I’m worried about catching the virus from this forum so I always wear gloves when I’m posting messages to it. And I wear goggles when I’m reading posts from people who are outside the UK. If I want to read posts from those in the EU I wear a full hazmat suit and decontam afterwards.

What’s the point in stockpiling toilet rolls and hand wash? Why don’t people stockpile the important things?

Like kebabs.
