got the Latitude set.

I also own several pieces of their enduro gear.

The quality is top notch.

i have some concerns over the longevity of the gore-tex system in the Latitude. The Badlands and the Adventure use a more durable system. i am not worried though. If it leaks, KLIM will stand behind it.

Several people on this board have sent me PM's because they have seen me wearing it in pics.

I'll tell you what I've told them.

They are very stiff when new. They loosen up nicely.

The collar on the jacket is tall. It's annoying at times. It will keep you dry, though. The biggest issue i have is the collar basically HAS to be closed up tight or it will flap and beat the heck out of your helmet. The badlands jacket addresses this. They really should have included something on the latitude.

The pants are a strange cut. They are NOT overpants. It is almost impossible and very uncomfortable to wear them over street clothes. They are very comfortable over typical layering wear. The pants are exceptionally comfortable on the bike.

The jacket has very long sleeves. They are a bit annoying off the bike. On the bike, they are perfect. I'm 6'1", 185lbs and bought a large jacket. It fits very well.

The armor is well placed and almost unnoticeable.

For very hot summer riding, I intend to wear a mesh jacket.

i've been comfortable in the Latitude gear from 28-85 degrees.

The venting on the jacket works very well.

The pants don't vent a lot unless you are standing.

The traverse gear is a lot lighter, a lot more pack-able, and probably capable of being worn over street clothes.

If I had it to do over, I'd go for the badlands. It's only money...

I will be using my Klim Valdez jacket everyday and Togwotee bibs for rainy days with all the layering garments.
I have had great luck with my snowmobile gear from Klim, so I will see how they hold up on the bike.

I have the Traverse pants and sized them to wear over street clothes. They are very stiff fabric and very well made. very comfortable to ride in. The Traverse pants do not come with armor or suspenders.

I also have a pair of Extreme Bibs for winter snowmachine riding and skiing. These are also very nice pants and would work on the bike but do not have bike specific pad/armor pockets.

Klim gear is really well made and I think worth the investment. I am very happy with the two pairs of pants and will buy a jacket when I have a bit more cash in my motorcycle account. ::008::

I strethed a bit and got the Badlands Pro. Good down to the 40'z then a windbreaker layer of Gerbings. Built with the best stuff right out of the box to include armor. The collar is more comfy than the Latitude was to me. The bells and whistles leave me wanting nothing. If one can spend a lot on panniers to keep their stuff dry and protected then I see no problem with putting on what was right for me to keep me dry and protect my body. I tried the Firstgear Kilimanjaro but even xxxl was too tight around arms chest and shoulders. So far have ridden in low 90s, jacket breathes well enough and plenty if zip vents(water proof). This jacket is a pay for what you get and I am glad I bought it ::008::

wore the Badlands pro on the ride into work this morning, +/- 35F

I wasn't cold, just had a golf shirt underneath...its brand new, so its still pretty stiff, but i didn't feel restricted in movement at all

**edited to note, I ride about 65 miles on my commute and get up to speed, so its not just an in town thing

I picked up the Badlands a couple weeks ago.

Two things stuck out when I first tried it on - sleeves were longer than my other jackets & the Badland was stiffffff. I washed and dried it twice right off the bat, this really helped alot. The sleeves fit now.

On the bike, I was surprised how comfortable it is - should be for that price, right? :'( The armor is thicker and bigger than my First Gear jacket - thanks for that Klim. The other thing I noticed and am very happy about - the jacket is impervious to wind compared to my First Gear. I've been riding in some high winds lately - normally the wind means I have to wear extra layers. I really liking how this jacket seals off the wind. I think this jacket is going to shine in bad weather.

I haven't been out in rain or high temps. The rain doesn't concern me. The jacket is so hefty I'm wondering what the heat comfort index will be -

I think this jacket is something you better like when you buy it, because you ain't gonna wear it out.

Klim gear is the best. I wear Klim Chinook pants and Inferno jersey and gloves for my summer off road gear and it is extremely durable as well as comfy. When I win the lottery I'll definately spring for the Traverse suit for fall/winter riding. I love Klim!

FredB -

Bet you've had your jacket in the rain? The collar seals up good?

Around here we get about 17 inches per year. Last year was a record setting drought. May not get my jacket out in the rain - around here anyway.

Funny - I rode to the store with my old jacket on and I keep feeling like something was missing - the old jacket leaves me feeling unprotected. Weird.

I have two sets of pants. Summer,,, "Mojave" great ventilation. And for fall/winter the Dakar fills the bill. However neither one is water proof. The Dakar's work in a sprinkle, but you will get a wet ass real quick if it rains hard for more than a few minutes.
I like the bigger/looser fit of the Klim pants. Very comfy on the bike.

Mike,

We're over here in the rain shadow, so we normally get around 3-7 inches of rain a year. That said, I've had it in a couple of west-side type downpours, and it is sealed nicely. There is a draw string on the collar to snug it up, and it keeps me dry and warm.

I wear the Klim Traverse Pants and Jacket most often with the d3o armor. When I had my KLR I wore my Chinook in-boot pants. There stuff is pricey, but I like the looks of it and it's comfortable. Everything is articulated as to fit well no matter if you're standing or in the riding position. Nothing loose flapping in the wind.

Just ordered the Klim Lattitude Yesterday to replace my AeroSTich Darien after 10 years. I got $270 for it to go against my Klim jacket!!! Not bad $140 cost over 10 years!!! $14 per year or $1 per month. That is cheap!!! Anyone think buying a cheap jacket is cheaper in the long run???

I just bit the bullet and ordered the Badlands Pro - I compared the Latitude and the Badland, and in the end decided that the better fit (on me anyway), ventilation, armour, 3-layer gortex, and other doodads, (just about) justified the higher price. We'll see!

Like HoebSTer, I sold my previous suit - Rev'it Sand - and got a chunk of change to put toward the Klim. Didn't like dealing with the waterproof liners in the Sand (even though they work) so external rainsuit or gortex were the other options...

I wanted the grey suit but seems no grey jackets available so went black jacket/grey pants.
