I too am interested, but have concerns as any comparable Metzeler ire I have used over the years has always worn faster than others.

I think you are referring to the Michelin Wild which is only available in the NEW BMW sizes. The new wet BMW does not use the same size as the air/oil cooled.

Just a reminder... 10000 kms is still only 6213 miles. Not great wear but decent... Now if you could get 10000+ miles out of them. That would be AWESOME!

6213 out of THAT tire would be AMAZING to me. I didn't get that out of a Battlewing or Tourance (NOT exp).

Yaw know me. I only require 4000 miles outta a tire. (oil change interval)
And STILL, the K60 is the only rear dirt tire to make it. :(

If the Karoo can hook up better than the K60 and can make it that 4K, we have a winner!

We shall see. I'm skeptical. Especially after the Gen2 flash.

I cant imagine running Gen II with anything but the K60.... Its gunna be "bye-bye back tire" :D

i've accepted that this beast has become the only bike I have ever had that can deliver me to so much adventure\enjoyment. So much so that I have also accepted that TIRES are the only real cost to riding this bike anywhere in the world anytime I want. After all, the thing doesn't have any unscheduled costs. They don't break. They don't surprise you.

So I don't care how much the rubber costs. Period. I can buy LOTS of donuts for the costs of upkeep\repairs the other bike (that can do what this bike does) requires. I just need the tires to be stocked at all the dealers along the way. LOL.

I priced them yesterday. 410.00 they are proud of them. Ran a 705 to finish off the front and gonna end up with about 7000 miles on it. I may stick with shinko. 201.00 for the set.
