Is anyone regularly hitting or breaking 200 miles or more per tank?

The O-ring recall? I have a first edition model (UK) bought secondhand a month or so ago. The previous owner was pretty anal about paperwork but I can find no info on a recall. Anybody care to explain or know from what VIN to what VIN was affected.

Finally broke my 200miles to reserve duck today, only took me 5.6k miles to do it. I did cheat slightly as I brimmed the tank before setting off so that it was above the bottom of the fill tube on the center stand. Managed 208miles before the reserve trip kicked in, now at 250miles and its still not dry though I suspect is only a matter of miles before it coughs. Earlier in the week I managed 238miles to empty . Ihad a 2 litre can in the topbox to get me to the station and manged to get a further 21litres in to the bottom of the filler, so around 23l in total. I think i had probably around 23.5~24litres in today and got slightly better mpg due to more cruising and less urban use.

Filled up yesterday at 212.4 miles without hitting reserve. Calculated 48.75 mpg.

I have hit over the 220 miles mark when on a long run. Cool, damp weather conditions, filled to the brim on the centre stand, running in touring mode and just a top case as luggage, national speed limits observed. I say observed ... I saw each and every one. O:)

I did a solo dirt ride, 400km to a tank, took 20L to fill. I usually put the bike on the centerstand when filling, and just near brim it.
Last weekend did a ride with my CFO, again 400 KM to a tank, with my givi 45L cases on, same story 20L to fill back up.
Works out to 5/100km or.....47MPG (imerial ones! ::013::)

It is rare that I don't get 200 miles or more before the last bar, let alone having to fill up.
SC, I typically hit the last bar about 180 - 190 miles into a tank. When I ran the tank dry to test overall range per tank, I got an additional 50 miles on the flashing bar. Total for the tank was 233 miles. And I was not being gentle on the throttle. ::26::

I nearly always get 180 to 190 miles before it starts blinking, just coming up to 13000 miles now , Im sure up to about 6000 miles it was 160 to 170 , also now the motor is loose it has a bit power .

On the tank after my previous post, I hit reserve at 224.4 miles. Calculated mpg at 49.6 at the fillup.

Both of those tanks were taking it relatively easy on 2-lane state routes and county/township roads, weather 60s-low 80s, riding solo and with all the hard luggage removed.

Last bar (blinker) comes on at 172-178 like clockwork.

I suspect that means I have a little more in reserve than you 200 folks.
However, I only get about 43 mpg, so folks getting 6 or 7 mpg better than me would get their last bar about 25-35 miles later.

I can't go slow enough to get 49mpg. :)

Now that I have establishes a general average of 50+ miles per UK gallon, 200 miles is the norm for a tank without worrying too much though I often fill up earlier because fuel availability is becoming unpredictable in the UK as more an more stations close. We are fast coming to the point where supermarkets are the only reliable source. It's even worse in France.

I pretty much always hit 200 or more, this last tank was 260 and I only put in 4.9 gallons to bring the level to the thingie with holes in the tank. I have recently started using Tour throttle mode more than I used to and I am sure that helps with mileage due to slower/gentler throttle control.

I get anywhere from 198 to 206 miles before reserve. Once there I have about 1.3 Gal remaining.
Currently at 6700miles on the ODO.

Well I did the ultimate test of how far Mr T's tank will take me 369 of which 59.6 was on reserve!!! I know I did do a bit of clutch work and free wheeling but still 59.6 is prety impressive. Refilled but not to brim with 31.3 litres of fuel. Put on side stand with no spillage. I have filled him up with 32.7 litres but lost a little when I put him on the side stand. On centre stand I was OK.

So all in all a agreat test done and dusted.

Full ride is on my Blog The Wandering Walton’s quest for Olympic Gold …. “Post Boxes obviously” Destination Sark! http://trinityzxr750l1.blogspot.co.uk/

Still getting out and about ::021:: Just tied to UK ATM due to no Passport :-[ Due back any day now ::008::

I gas up every 3 days and that put me at 210 miles. My bike goes on revserve around 195 to 200 most of the time. I don't keep track of the gals but around 4.5 to 5.0 I would say.

On my last trip to Maryland (FJR gathering) on the way back did 313 miles on one tank all of it highway. I have no idea how much fuel was left in the tank and did not have fuel with me( I was scared shitless). I will never do that again :-X
