Is anyone regularly hitting or breaking 200 miles or more per tank?

Despite my best efforts either in S or T mode I don't hit or go over 200 miles to a tank until I'm in low fuel range. I do have a heavy hand normal back and forth to work is 70-80 mph so I guess I'm the issue but just wondering what other owners have been seeing. I know, I know... ::002::

I'm averaging 43mpg for the last 8000 miles (real calculation, not the bike computer). So 5 gallons would put me at 215 miles - so a tankful and a bit to spare. Sorry about that... ;)

BUT I don't commute a lot - if I did it would be lower. And I don't see the other side of 80mph except in short bursts. Both stop-start traffic and high speed are going to kill your mileage. If that's you scenario then I wouldn't worry.

My last and first tank on the bike had the fuel indicator flashing reserve with 139 miles on the trip. Not sure if I should be upset or proud. ::015::

Damn that is horrible. What RPM's are your riding at ::26:: I can do 200 pretty easily. I also do not stop fueling it when it hits the auto shut off. I swear this bike can take another half gallon or so.

I just came off a 146hp race replica. Let's just say the throttle sees more use than a ketchup dispenser at McDonalds on "free fries" day.

For me is not so easy to reach this range. Most of times I reach 170 miles with a tank riding at 80 / 82 miles/h (@4500rpm). Always using 42psi rear and 34psi front
Worst range was only 125 miles with a tank 5.5 gals (21 liters) riding fast, around 110 / 120 mph.
Here in Patagonia we have low density population, and many times we have long distance between cities or gas station, for me the tank is a bit small, I think if the tank will be 7 gallons it will be good.

That's my deal too Katherine I can go over 200 in the reserve. I've pushed that area pretty far and never ran out. I'm hitting 170-180 miles on the tank the rest of the miles to 200 is in reserve. The bike is telling me I'm getting 46.6 in T mode and 45.6 in S not bad compared to my Zuki M109 at 34mpg of course that was an 1800cc V Twin.

There are Super10s on fuelly.com; you can see what others are reporting out there:

I used to regularly hit 200 at reserve, and put 5 gallons in. Mostly 65-75 speeds. Then after the O-ring recall, it now goes into reserve at ~185, but if I fill then, I take 4.7 gallons. Apparently they tweaked my float arm a bit during the recall work and I now have a bigger reserve. No biggie. I now just run 20 or so miles into reserve. Went 57 the other day and put in 5.7 gallons... might have been pushing the envelope there.

I can get mid to high 40's in the summer, and high 30's to mid 40's in the winter. If I start wicking it up the mileage drops fast.

If I keep it under 4k in sixth gear, it is much better than anything above 4k..

I get about 190 before the low fuel light comes on or less. My backup is my AAA card I hope

I get over 200 but the low fuel flashing comes on around 190. I got my best milage with stock windscreen on low setting. When I add the panniers plus large screen tilted up and forward I get my worse, probably around 40 mpg @ 75mph. Ran out once, well nearly, bike started surging at 240 miles, I made it another 1 mile to a station, mostly coasting.

Sometimes I get 150 'til the light comes on and I'll go another 20 miles.

Usually, I get to around 170-180 before the light comes on and I'll still push it 20-30 miles after that.

Most of the time I put in just under or just over 5 gallons when refueling.

I have a hard time riding conservatively, I'd like to try and make that a habit as you won't typically get anywhere all that much faster and if the end result is one extra gas stop during your trip you will never catch up to that lost time or will break even. Speed on a bike doesn't get you some place faster, reducing your stopped time does.

I get about 185 miles before my E light starts flashing. Still have about 1.5 gallons in the tank at that point. ::001::
