Is anyone regularly hitting or breaking 200 miles or more per tank?

i did a test recently, and i do get a 2% increase in fuel using the ethanol free gas. I am still getting 200 plus easy per tank.

I have noticed, since I had the recall/warranty work done. My mpg has dropped a little.
Before my Avg mph was 47. After the work it is now 44mph.

I hit 220-230, averaging 46-49 MPG range depending on wind on almost every tank when commuting (3 tanks/week, minimum). 31/38 Zegas, stock screen, running in T mode, morning commute is in the indicated 75 mph range, afternoon commute is anywhere from 1st gear barely moving to 75 indicated. On a recent trip with a lot of highway, wind, and a fair bit of time pressure, I was in the 38-42 range most tanks.

Most of the time I hit around 200 miles before the Flashing "E" and thats riding 2 up with gear most of my rides.

when I am getting over 40 MPG on avg. loaded with this bike I am happy. :) 1200 cc loaded w/EFI and 40+MPG = to a KLR650 Carb bike loaded 2 up w/45-48 MPG.....Not bad, Not bad at all.

Almost twice the motor/bike with on avg. around 5 MPG difference. I cant complain. ::012::

I've been getting around 190-200 miles before the fuel light starts blinking. I can only put in 4.5 gallons when the blinking starts so I know there is another 1.5 gallons in the tank. Kinda wish the fuel waring light would kick on when there is exactly 1 gallon left.

200 miles per tank??? Pfff, Heck, I almost got 200 miles on half a tank!

Still reading full at 80 miles:

Still reading half tank at 180 miles!

Ok fine, that was not a normal tank... Natchez Trace Parkway means cruising at 60 MPH absolutely non-stop for entire tanks of gas. Averaged 52 MPG for the tank (on a tight motor, less than 1500 miles at this point).

My normal riding is 75% city 25% cruising, and it usually starts flashing empty around the 190 mile mark.

When commuting on my daily trip 35 miles one way to work, the E starts flashing right at 190-200 miles. On may recent trip from Omaha to Montana with going 80 (on the GPS, 88-89 ind on the bike) with lots of wind I was getting 32-33.

Hey Mikey, How the hell are ya?
Good! Real Good! Definitely enjoying my Yamaha(s). I'll be even better when I sell the Buell Ulysses and can afford all the modifications I said I wasn't going to buy for this beast.

I know what you mean! I've sunk a small fortune into farkles for the Tenere. Keeping the uly for the forseeable future as Derek has his permit now and is riding a DR650. He and I went out for the first sojourn on separate bikes this morning and he did well. More pavement/dirt tomorrow! To keep with the nature of this thread I usually get the low fuel blink at 170 to 200 miles depending on how I twist the loud handle. See ya around! You planning on Harrisville in August?

Current tank the low fuel came on at 220 (at 235 now). 60 miles of gravel road and the rest averaging around 65 to 70.

Pretty typical for me. Best tank so far was going across Oregon at 57 mpg calculated. Worst was across Nevada on the loneliest highway at umm highish speeds O:) and it was still above 40 mpg. I know now how fast my S10 will go at 7000 feet elevation.

What's it feel like when it's full.

Does it have a huge effect?

I consistently get 220+ miles per tank, if I'm behaving myself that is.
This is mostly highway at 70-80 mph and 55-60 mph on county roads.
Also, most riding done in sports mode.

Did a 2up ride last weekend and beat both my previous bests... It read full till 96.1 Miles, and read half a tank till 191 miles. ::015::

I'm really going to try to keep modifications to a minimum, but I'm still looking to get full luggage, and I probably should get a skid plate/crash bars.
I think I am going to try to get to Harrisville. I've been talking to Steve (ex Bueller) who has a built Tiger 800 with D/S tires now, and he's hoping to make it too, so I see some dual-sport / adventure rides in store!
