How many miles did you ride your Tenere in the Pandemic 2020 year?

To some of the other comments here. Was motorcycling specifically restricted anywhere? It certainly wasn't here in SoCal and we have some of the most draconian restrictions otherwise. I can see restricting big gatherings whether motorcycle oriented or not, that what happed to the WeSTOC rally this year. I'd have a tough time believing that riding a motorcycle presents any Covid risks given that it's a activity that is inherently social distanced. I read posts where folks seemed to interpret for themselves that restrictions meant they weren't allowed to fide their motorcycles, but that's a different question.

I do my riding lone wolf and don't interact much with others while traveling. The cross country trip really didn't pose any issues from a pandemic perspective, I found most of fly-over country to be rather laissez faire towards covid restrictions.

For a while in Arkansas you could book a motel room unless it was business but OK and TX never shut down. I'm trying to book a car road trip to Northern CA but it seems a lot of places are still shut down. Trying to go in Sep. 2021. Am only booking places that I can cancel.

. . . . Was motorcycling specifically restricted anywhere? . . . .
Our county government wanted everybody to stay home except for "essential tasks". o_O They told people to take walks. . . . but, no unnecessary vehicle travel. o_O So, I can go walk around the neighborhood, and have contact with everybody else taking their walks. . . . but don't go for a drive in your car. . . . totally alone. . . . with no chance of person-to-person contact. Yeah, right. The town I frequent the most has quite the "entitled" mind set. The news would show large cities looking like a ghost town. Not this city, hardly a difference before, and after covid. We'd run into town for groceries, and scoot back home.

My total miles this year was only +/- 6k. And, that was accumulated only after the initial shutdown was lifted. I don't do trips due to being a candy ass. But, I use the bike for everything except hauling things. My Jeep ended up with about 2.5k miles.

The only pics I have are the ones I posted for moto-tag. Nothing worth photographing with commuting.

I just do my normal thing day in day out .... what changed is you got to have a mask (funny when I walk into a store with my cowboy bandana on my face and my Glock on my hip) and there are a few remote places where mask are not required . if the county judge is a democrat you are going to wear a mask . in Texas a county judge is the highest elected official of the county and presides over the commissioners court . as for miles on my bike about 2800 from January 3 when I bought it till now . I have worked more since the pandemic than before ,crazy. Austin Texas mayor said everyone should stay home (he made the proclamation from his room in Cabo . made the national news . ) not a lot of miles did 1200 on a trip in November to ft.davis Texas. have a new mustang that's pulling me off the bike . there are no travel restrictions here...

My goal was to ride 1,000 miles a month, 12,000 total. At present I'm about 900 short, but I hope I'm not done yet. When Covid first hit, I laid off 2-3 weeks, then decided there's more to living than watching the news. Plans derailed for a month in October with a slip & fall w/3 broken ribs. All healed and riding on, heading back to AZ next week.

My greater joy is I made it into some of the pictures posted by others above! You guys are great! Hope to meet more of you in the new year! Anyone heading down to AZ this winter, PM me!
