How many miles did you ride your Tenere in the Pandemic 2020 year?

Didn't realize this would turn into a photo thread, so here is my 4-state trip:

and my 3-day Otay Preserve ride:

Both were substitutes, one for our usual trip to WeSTOC, which was supposed to be in Park City UT this year. The other ride was a substitute for our usual trip to Laguna Seca for the races. The races were held but spectators weren't allowed. :(

Hopefully season isn’t over yet. At least tomorrow I’m commuting with my trusty companion. Another 1000km’s won’t be possible anymore but a few small rides are. So far around 4000km’s this season. Go ride as long as i can!

It’s not just the cold, as I wouldn’t mind riding short distances. It’s the salt and other stuff they coat the roads with.
Ditto.

Salt is when my season ends. Its not climate, its that road salt.

I rode a previous bike once in winter salt and by spring i had to clean, de-rust, and refinish a ton of stuff. Never again.

Since it looks like we are posting pictures: I took one over-night trip in June, 2020, to see the site of the Battle of Adobe Walls in the panhandle of Texas. Our page would not let me load more pictures, so here is a synopsis. There were two battles, the first involved Kit Carson; the second involved Quanah Parker and the famous Billy Dixon shot of 1,538 yards that ended the second battle. If you like history, I encourage you to search "Battle of Adobe Walls."

#0274: Camped out at Shamrock, Texas.

#0277: A nice mural in Shamrock, Texas.

#0286: Sunrise on Old Route 66 at Shamrock, Texas.

#0336: A monument to one side of the battle.

#0338: A view of The "Billy Dixon Shot" to yon mesa.

#0317: On the road to the site of the Battle of Adobe Walls. This a very remote area of the panhandle of Texas northeast of Borger, Texas on the north side of the Canadian River.

#0353: Another view of the panhandle terrain.

#0319: A monument to the other side of the battle.

#0322: Billy Dixon's grave.

This year has been a good motorcycle year for me. Bought the S10 in February of 2020 with 6,154 miles on it. Currently close to 22,000 with some time left for short rides before the new year rolls around.
Normal life requires continual travel for work but the changes allowed me to work from the laptop on the bike.

I feel lucky and blessed to take some of these trips (thought they would have to wait until retirement - currently 30 years old). Allot of people have had much worse years and I’m lucky to not only have a job but also not have anyone negatively affected by the virus.

Longest toilet paper trip - Florida to Arizona

Miles way down this year most because of the COVID-19 thing, a little over 200 miles is about as far from home I got this year, outside Wisconsin only twice, never any overnight trips. Put A whopping 6,000 miles on the Tenere in 2020, hopefully more next year. 17,000 miles on the Goldwing.

I’ve ridden my S10 about 7000 miles, my sold Kawasaki Versys X 300 about 9500 miles, my sold KTM 690 Enduro R 500 miles, my Tenere 700 about 5600 miles, and my newly acquired Yamaha Tracer 900 GT 3100 miles. I only rode four days when Covid locked down in the spring for 6 weeks in Illinois.
