How many miles did you ride your Tenere in the Pandemic 2020 year?

Post your total miles for the year.
Some places had stricter rules on leisure activities like riding but here in the Midwest it was pretty much normal riding season without restrictions.
This is not a debate thread on why I don't wear a mask. I wear a Balaclava for warmth under my helmet so I do wear a mask while I ride.
I think with no pandemic my mileage would have been much higher also. I was planning on doing the Idaho Backcountry Ride but the Pandemic out there was Mark breaking his leg. So I missed that one.
Things just didn't work out for my wife and I to take a big bike trip, I think this is the first year in at least 12 years that we haven't rode for a week or more.
Hope all of you had a great year of riding and it gets even better next year..

Steve

A pitiful 3999 miles in 2020. Lockdown and travel restrictions were quite strict across lots of Europe during much of the main riding season. Out of lockdown, the travel industry, hotels, bars, restaurants etc, had constraints.

Hopefully lots more riding next year.

I logged about 5,000 miles between june and now.

Considering i am working full time, and raising a 15 month old with my wife while basically locked in our apt for a year...i am honestly shocked and i feel blessed to have been able to log these miles. All that matters to me is the health and safety of my family, so I cannot curse 2020 that much.

Some highlights:

SO SAD, I got in one little trip and a little local stuff. Probably a total of 3-4K miles. I don't have any worth wild pictures of our ride :( I was really busy trying to get in a ride !

But we all like pictures !

Here is my friends top fuel bike blowing up. This was the head gasket that let go in just a little spot. Melted the piston, cylinder, and the head. Expensive 2 seconds.

I logged 9,992 miles on the Tenere. It was a bad year as far as health goes for me. Fractured ankle took a big bite out of planned trips this year. Seven surgeries this year.

Trips missed out on
Tenere rally/Arkansas- Covid canceled
South Dakota couples ride- Broken leg
Idaho BDR- Broken leg

I did manage to get some great rides in though.

I am joining in as I AM a Super Tenere owner, I just bought it a couple weeks ago.

While not on a Tenere, as it isn't here yet, I did do over 12k on my Stelvio in 2020. Destinations include Death Valley, Moab/Valley of the Gods, and Big Bend. Still riding it every day when the roads aren't icy...

And my new bike, Sellers Pic...

I hope to have this sorted and ready for another trip to Death Valley and Big Bend in February, provided the 'GermFest" calms down!

My 2018 ST had 11,269 miles on 12 Jan 2020, the earliest date in 2020 that I have a mileage record. I did some brake maintenance and other minor things on that date. 14 Dec 2020 I have 17,968 miles. That's 6,699 miles. My 2012 Goldwing got some new headlight bulbs on 03 Jan 2020 at 32,636 miles. 14 Dec 2020 the Goldwing has 37,630 miles, an increase of 4,994 miles.

Between the two bikes, 11,693 miles for 2020. I'll be close to 12,000 miles by New Years Day.

5,000 miles on the Goldwing is about right for me in any given year, but 7,000 miles on my adventure bike is a little light. I would normally have another 5,000 to 7,000 miles on it by now. I took no long trips in 2020 due specifically to COVID-19.

I don't brag about my miles. I have done so many over the years that 2020 COVID miles mean next to nothing.

Keyboard miles don’t count.
I have a life outside of riding and my keyboard. Bragging and showing off are not my style. I generally don't keep track of miles except for fuel usage and maintaining my bike. Why the hell anyone would want to let the world know how many miles they ride during a pandemic is beyond me.
