Hi Twinrider - USPS shipping unfortunately isn't the most economical for packages of this size and weight. Our standard shipping price via UPS is $119; I think the last time I got a quote from USPS it was about $160 or more and I could only insure for about half the actual value of the system. If you want to PM me your address, I should be able to give you a more definitive quote.

I currently have a stainless rack for the S10 on order and have two pannier systems arriving that are currently unspoken for - one 38L, one 45L, both in natural/aluminum. I can put together a 31L system with the stainless rack on the next order, or would be able to swap the stainless rack for the PC black rack on either the 38L or 45L, if you want to upsize your panniers.

Thanks!

Jason

Hey guys - I have two Holan Nomada Pro pannier systems in stock right now and ready to ship! Both have powdercoated black racks with natural/aluminum panniers....one is a 38L set, the other is a 45L. I also have a stainless steel pannier rack in stock if you'd prefer to upgrade from the powdercoated black.

Unfortunately, between foreign exchange rates and other increasing costs, prices will need to nudge up a bit as we roll into 2013. If you're looking for a kick-ass set of panniers for your Super Tenere, there's no better time than now! For the systems that I have currently in stock, I'll hold the 2012 price for any YST forum member through January 31st, or until the systems are sold.

Any questions, please PM or email me at sales AT advmotorrad DOT com.

Thanks!

Make that one set of Nomada Pro panniers left in stock. ;D

The 45L set is sold, but I have a 38L set with powdercoated black or stainless racks in stock. I also have a 4-pack of locks in stock for $34.99 that will allow you to lock your new panniers to the bike, as well as a couple other accessories such as case carry handles (allow you to strap stuff to the top lid as well as provide a convenient carry handle) and full size continent decals for the pannier sides.

Any questions, please let me know.

Thanks!

Any pictures of the black or gray panniers? Very interested in those. It would also help if you labeled the pics on your web site so we know what size panniers we're looking at.

Hey FacePalm - great callout! I'll get the description updated for clarity.

For the pics earlier in this post, the panniers on the blue bike (Photo by Joseph Marino) are 38L cases, and the photos and video of the black bike (Matt Butcher's) are 45L. I'll get some pictures posted up of the powdercoated gray and black cases to this thread shortly....they look bitchin'. :D Only callout is that powdercoating can delay delivery a bit due to the extra step, but they do look really nice.

Thanks again...

The pictures in this thread are of the standard/aluminum finish. Here are some shots of the optional powdercoated black and gray cases. You can also opt for powdercoated lids only with natural/aluminum panniers which is a new option I don't have on my site just yet.

Any questions, please let me know.

Thanks!

I like the look, and how slim the cases appear from the front shot. I also like the racks better than most of the others I have seen. But...I see they are set up for those still using the pillion seat. I have removed mine, and don't see me re-installing it (if my wife goes for a ride with me, we'll take the FJR). Is there a way to set these up lower so they are flush with the underseat rack?

Hi AVGeek! The Holans mount at three fixed points to the bike (passenger foot peg, front and rear factory grab handle mounts) and are pretty much set at a fixed height. You can fit a rear seat replacement rack plate (like a Wolfman) between the Holan grab handles, if you're thinking along those lines.

Hope that helps...any other questions, please let me know.

Thanks!

Looking at the Holans before the 2013 price increase but had a quick question. Will the latch mechanism in place also act like a hinge if you were to only undo one side? Or does the lid need to come completely off to access contents?
Thanks!

Hi,

The latch does not act as a hinge a such, and if you open one end and lift a few inches the other end will unhook. You only need to unlock one side, so all pretty painless.

Matt

Juiceman34,

To follow-up on Matt's response, I thought this would be an issue, but have since found there are some advantages to taking the tops off. First is you have full access to the inside from all sides, and second is if you tie gear to the top, you can just lift it off and put it aside without taking it off as you would with a swing top. It takes some time to figure out with to do with the lid when you take it off, but you figure it out after a few times. It can lay on the seat, on the lid of the other pannier, or if the pannier isn't full, you can stick it inside. There are plus or minuses to each system, and you'll figure out how to overcome any short comings in operation quickly. I have no regrets going with the Holans. Good luck on a decision.

Thanks for the info guys! I'm thinking it would just be something to get used to and eventually be a non-issue.
(email sent to Jason re: a set of 45's)

Is there any passenger comfort issue with the boxes? In other words, do they interfere with leg/foot room?
Hi,

I have just asked the lovely Mrs Monty, and she says no! They don't interfere with her leg position etc (she is around 5'10"), and she can use the built-in grab rails no problem. She also loves that she can take way more stuff when we head off for our road trips around Europe. The list of "essentials" seems to have grown rather rapidly! :))

Thanks Matt - appreciate the feedback!

The first order for February is going in tomorrow, so if anyone is considering a system and would like to expedite delivery, now is a great time to place your order! I'll be placing subsequent orders on or about 2/18 and 3/4 (and ongoing every two weeks or so), so if you're not ready to go tomorrow, I'm happy to help in the future.

Thanks again....

Jason
