My Parabellum 26 arrived today, so I spent the evening comparing it and the Givi Airflow. I did four runs of about 20 minutes each, two with the Givi, two with the Parabellum. It was closer than I thought, but in the end the overall nod goes to the Parabellum, but it's not a massive difference. Like all windshield / seat opinions, it's just an opinion. What works for me may not work for you. Top speed was 75ish. I did my tests without earplugs so I could hear the detail. I run a Arai helmet, normally with the shield down, but it's a bit quieter with it up.

The Para is not much larger than the Givi with the Givi fully extended, I'd say about an inch. It's a bit wider, but again, not much. The Para definitely offers better protection. There's less wind behind it, the pocket is wider so the shoulders get less wind. I'm 6'4" 300 so there's a lot of breadth.

The wind over my head on the Para is much closer than with the Givi, but it's also better defined. There's a lot of wind that get's past the Givi so it's likely the better choice if you ride in HOT weather all the time. In the winter, the Para is going to ride warmer.

The Para has a very clean normal look. The Givi is bizarre, but it grows on you in a S10 sort of way. ::013::

The Givi is adjustable for height, and I run a Touratech adjustable bracket as well. I've been messing with the Givi for a couple of weeks. I think I had it optimally adjusted for me, and I ran the Para in the same place. I didn't adjust anything running back to back, in theory that means there could be some improvement left with the Para.

The big Givi only feature is that you can pull the top half off and run with just the bottom, and adjust the vertical size of the shield. That could be a big win in the heat, but on the other hand I can run just run the stocker when it's hot. For the long road work, I'll swap in the Parabellum.

Portland area riders, if you want to try either or both PM me, happy to let you test ride them. I'll likely hang on to the Givi for a little while to make sure it's good two up, then sell it.
Thanks for this - an interesting read and probably the first back-to-back review i've seen.

Interesting that the parrabellum is taller than a fully extended airflow - if i fully extend the airflow, i;d be looking through it, which i don't like.

then again - i'm tiny 5ft 9 in height!

I have 22"Parabellum and love it. 6'1" 200lbs, Just got Givi airflow and agree with above. Good screen, will use for summer and parabellum for winter or long highway rides. I also have Gregs adjustable bracket.

I'm using a standard (non Airflow) Givi screen, and so far I like it. I decided to try the basic Givi screen largely because it's a Franklin cheaper than the Airflow.

I can run at 80mph with the face shield up without issue. I'm 5'11", 36" inseam, seat on the low position. I run the screen on the lower of the two mounting options, and can look over it from about one car-length forward.

Bought Krussell's Givi Airflow (he's a great seller, btw). Put it on and test rode it about 70 miles yesterday. Just what I was looking for: no head buffeting, quiet, but still plenty of airflow.

Big thumbs up from this rider (6'2" with 32" inseam).

Givi says they don't have an airflow for 2014's yet. I have heard that by removing the adjusting mechanism on a 2014, a Givi AirFlow will bolt up to the brackets. Can anyone verify that? Thanks!

I found Quiet with a set of Yamaha windwings and a 24" Parabellum. Unbelievable difference for me (5"11, 32 inseam). Behind the Para it is dead quiet, no wind. Actually, it is TOO calm as I don't get any cooling air and it's summer here in the Bluegrass! This will definitely be my "cool weather/winter" setup!!! Still looking for Quiet and Cool ::) ::022::

Installed today on Yamaha tall with side dealies and really like it. 25K miles and it's the first time I've heard how loud this engine is and how much K60s howl going down the road. If reflash is first add on, then this would be my second. Only concern is way tall windscreen bounces on bumps, what with the extra weight on top--hope it holds up. ::008::

When I first put mine on I tried to "barndoor" the WS to stop as much air as possible. It shook a lot. Moved it back to the 60 degree angle that madstad recommends and it is better. The more that I have used it, I have realized that it works well even with the WS tilted all the way back at me. Try it, you may be surprised how little buffeting there is.

Being 6' 3" I went with the 22" Parabellum, I wanted the air hitting the top of the Shoei Quest. Can ride with the shield open at 55mph and close it above 55-60.
