Hello All,

Today I pulled the trigger and purchased a lightly used '13 white Super Tenere with 436 miles on it. It will replace the '09 Triumph Speed Triple I now have for sale. It is 100% bone stock so will need to be farkled for better touring.

I'm a long time Yamaha fan whose's owned a 2001 RoadStar Silverado, 2004 FJR and now a 2013 FJR. I looked and and rode the Triumph Explorer prior to settling on the Yamaha. I felt the Super Tenere was the best balance of performance, quality and value. I also LOVED the look of the white!

I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can about this bike and to make it a great one-up touring machine. I'm also looking forward to learning about great riding opportunities around my neck of the woods. And if this forum is as good as some of my friends on fjrforum.com say it is, then I'll have available some of the best advise possible.

Welcome and congrats on the bike. I agree with you about the white color. It does make a fantastic tourer.

Welcome Bart, I'm over on the Ft Worth side.
TallGears on here is in Dallas, look up Tabasco(Jaxon) at Rideonadv for great local service on parts and you'll be well on your way. Spring rally coming up down in the Hill Country.
See ya around

Thank you all for the warm welcome.

Now it's time to prioritize what I need to add and let my budget set the pace. From what I've read so far, this may take a while!

Welcome on, Bart from near Dallas. Congrats on that fine white bike. White is the VERY finest color ... next to the superlative grey. What ?? OH, yes, I just happen to have a grey. ::025:: ::025:: There are many members here from Texas. You're in Tabasco's neighborhood, a most enviable situation. Anyway, ::004:: to the forum. R. ::022::
