Euro SPec Fog Kit

Just installed the Euro-Spec Yamaha Fog Light kit!!!! I haven't driven the bike yet with them, but I noticed upon starting the bike in the garage that they stay on both high and low beam!!!!! Yes!!! I like that!!! It gives me the option. Thats all!!!

Hey Jeff, did the kit come with a wiring harness that had a relay? If so, is there a designated spot for the relay?

Thanks,
Paul

Thanks Rod,

Paul (ptfjjj) yes there is a relay and a plcae to bolt it onto. It is a nice installation with great directions on the routing of the harness, which I like!!! If i had no interruptions from wife, and dog, and dinner last night I might of been able to do the whole install in an hour!!!

Thanks, Jeff. If it's not too much trouble, is there any way you can post a pdf of the instructions for your kit? I won't be installing for a while, and I know that pdf's can be a hassle, so perhaps a copy of the instruction in snail mail would also be great, but I know that a bunch of other guys would be psyched if you can post the pdf. You may still have my address from when I got some of your nomad shirts, but if you don't and want to do the snail mail option, just send me a PM and I'll send you my address. Thanks, Paul

Likey, I got them from Yamabits in the UK. Same for headlight protector and tank pad. I got the Yammie htd grips from a source when Sweden ran the couple week long sale for $140 US dollars.

I installed the OEM fog lights but made a slight modification to the relay power - the standard relay plug is powered as soon as the ignition is turned on, which I didn't like as it's a bit of a drain on the battery and I always leave my fogs on - so I sourced the relay power from the heated grip plug, which is only powered when the engine is running

The installation instructions and the details about the power mod can be found on my Google docs here:

Ordered the OEM fog-light kit from Yamabits in the UK two weeks ago. The package arrived today, not bad travel time. I'll install in a few days. As others have posted, the kit is very complete and should be an easy install.

Shipping was about 20 British pounds? I did order the headlight protector also. Off-road only of course. :-X

Overall I notice a wider beam pattern on the outer edge of the low beam pattern. Doesn't seem to project further than the low beams, only wider. I like how they work with high beams on. I still want to go with the PIAA Nightvision bulbs which are equal to 100 wats per bulb with only 55watt draw like the standard bulbs.
