I have been hoping that with their present schedule of limited production they would be concentrating on putting out a batch of the USA pre sold orders. However I was wondering about the 2011 models that they have announced for the rest of the world, such as the great looking white model. Are these already shipped or are they still in the queue to be made? After all, they are 2011 models and ours are 2012.

Just wondering.

A good point. My understanding on that, from my local friendly Yamaha dealer, is that each year's models are made well in advance. Most dealerships have already received the models for this year. Probably most were delivered just about the time of the earthquake, or at least that is apparently the case up here. So it likely is not an issue. The 2011's were made and sent out some time ago. Maybe it's different in Europe/U. K. But I know that the dealers like to have the products on site very early in the year. R

I ordered a Raven from a dealership near Spokane, Washington. I heard the Raven was the fastest of the two... :-\. There is a major port (Seatlle) just a 150 or so miles away, so maybe this speeds up the entire process.

I appreciate the tradgedy involved as well as some of the unknowns, however, I have riding plans/holidays based on the indiacted late May/early June arrival of the bike. I would simply like a clear answer on delivery date, not specualtion. Based on the unknown I am in the process of negotiaing a deal on another bike for the interim of the S10 arrival.

These are costs I did not expect but am motivated to ride and still follow through on my summer riding plans. Sucks to be inpatient and motivated to ride...

That is why I was wondering if any of our Euro members have seen any of the 2011 white models on the street or at dealers.
Didn't Paul Thompson - he's in the UK and just got a Raven a week or two ago - originally order a white? And was told he'd have to wait a month so then he switched to black. Isn't the Raven - in Europe - a 2011 anyway?

I talked to my dealer again this morning, computer still says june, but she told me she expects my bike to be here about the 3rd or 4th week of

MAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Now take this for what it's worth but it did come from a dealer, I was told that the tenere engines were made in Japan but final assembly was in Georgia and that is why they will be close to the original time table. Can anyone find out if this is true? Time will tell.

That may have been because of the glitter in the white paint. Maybe?

Yamaha makes wave runners and boats in Georgia. All of the motorcycle stuff comes through Cypress (LA) in Cali.

So the dealer that says they will be here in May also says they are assembled in Georgia?

I don't think I would put much faith in that delivery estimate in that case.

Went to look at 2012 snowmobiles and they had this setting there.

The person I talked to was a regional service rep. He said he rode a US model in California two weeks ago.

I asked when they would be arriving in the US, he said May with the bikes at the dealers in May. I said I had heard they would be a little late. He claimed he hasn't heard about any delays. Later he came up to me and said the computer does say June delivery.

It would be great to get a solid schedule.

As far as seat height, I'm 5-8 with a 29" inseam. With the seat in the low position both the heels of my work boots were touching.

And this is what convinced me to order a after market bash plate.

Just spoke with my dealer whom I placed my order on 1 Sept with. Mine now shows a June delivery, along with the other 5 that he ordered, some as late as December!

I think Yamaha is just guessing at this point, but thats ok. It will get here when it gets here. I'll wait.....it will be worth it!

visited my dealer today. Still shows July delivery of my December 1 order. At least he gave me a nice poster to hang on my wall to heighten the anticipation. ;D He also said that his parts supply has not been affected by troubles in Japan, yet.

I just talked with Renae at D & H cycle. I am third on their list with order in Sept. 5th. July is all they are told now for first delivery. They think it was due to the earthquake/Tsunami and if so, God bless them all and minor inconvenience to me. They aren't given a specific date but could be end of June to end of July. Now I will cool my heels and wait to order the rest of the farkles until June.

This is my first post. Hello to everybody.

I ordered mine 03/18/2011 in Blue with only the skid plate and engine guard as extras, I'll add other stuff after delivery from other sources.

In case some of you are wondering. I rode the ST twice in Daytona during bike week. The ride was only on pavement and was 12 miles long which only gave me a taste of the bike, however, they really let us "get it on" with only one rule, the front tire had to stay on the pavement. Awesome bike! The RSVP line opened at 8:00 AM each day and the ST time slots were the first to fill, as in immediately.

I just got back from the STEALERSHIP. They went online and told me that my order is showing sometime in August of this year. They said that to date they have heard nothing from their Yamaha Rep or Yamaha corporate about slow downs or late deliveries on the ST bikes.

We'll see.

For the time being, I have both my Dyna and KLR on CL and other free "for sale" sites.

I know I ordered my bike right around the time of the Tsunami so Yamaha might be a little behind but it is one month since I ordered the bike and I have not received anything from anybody. Does Yamaha send out a welcome letter or package that says something like "Welcome to the Yamaha Family". Am I missing something? When I bought my HD's I was bombarded from HD corporate and also the local HOG group with email and US Mail.

Regards
