Heated seat? Jacksonville, FL? ::019::

That seat looks GREAT.

What is the idea behind the stitching? Is that their "basic" configuration?

With my military discount it was not that much more than the regular seat and it was in stock here in Florida. I also will not be stationed in florida for ever and will probably be up north somewhere on my next tour, so the heated seat will be a bonus. It was also in the upper 20's for a few weeks last winter on my rides to work. It does get chilly in Jax. Not sure about the seat stitching. I hated it in pictures but when I got to Corbin and put it on my bike, I was really impressed with the fit and finish. The leather Is very nice.

I picked one up last weekend and really like it. Only problem is I'm only 5'7 with short arms. If I sit on the sweet spot of the seat the reach is to far. I just ordered some rox risers that will move the bars back an inch. Hopefully this helps.
Same for me. I already have the Rox 2" risers but had to roll the bars forward due to the Hydraulic lines so have ordered long lines from Jaxon and have sent my seat specifications to Corbin. Not sure what to expect from Corbin as they will only accept direct orders from the US & Canada. :question:

Hey Epping the 2" risers don't move the bars back very much. I went with these. No cable modification and it should be just about perfect.

I've only ridden about 150 mi. on the new corbin but I like the firmness on longer rides. It cups the derriere well and does feel like a better seat than stock. I don't notice any problem with forward canting and use one foot on the highway peg to keep my butt pushed back well into the sweet spot but can do it without the highway pegs. So far, I am pleased with it.

Well I've ridden several hundred miles now, and I like it better than before. I still have to give it the 700-800 mile day but think they did a good job with the seat. Good for Corbin.

When I got my Corbin, I decided not to use the seat adjustment riser. After some miles I added some rubber bumpers to the front to get a little more tilt toward the rear. So far this is working great. However, I now have to stretch more to the handlebar so going to try out some Rox Risers to get a more comfortable bend in the arms. I couldn't ride for more than an hour or so on the stock seat before my ass went numb. Always liked Corbin and realized that the heated seats are more comfortable than non heated.

I'm only 5'7" with a very short reach. I got the Rox Pro offset risers and they made the riding triangle perfect for me. Now I sit right in the sweet spot and it feels like it will be comfortable for 100's of miles at a time.

No response yet from Corbin on my enquiry and it's been over a week. ::017::

@ Coastie, These are the ones I bought. I little taller than yours so the lines are tight with bars rolled forward. Jaxon e-mailed me today to say they are on their way.
BTW his communication is great, keeping me informed as the order progressed. ::008::

I moved my brakes in about 1/2 inch and that loosened my lines up nicely.

A bit of an update on my Corbin seat. Ordered March 28, got the seat for the first time on April 25. Had a look at it, sent a pic. to Corbin and they agreed it could use a little more work in regards to the top surface being loose and having a few wrinkles. Sent it back May 1 and they confirmed today they have it, and should be ready to ship back in a week or two ???
So, should be getting it for the second time soon I hope, and getting it broken in before our ride north in June. ::013::

Got it today. Perfect fit, even without removing the rubber bumper I had installed under the bridge at the rear for my OEM seat. Now to get the time to test ride. Little over 6 lbs, OEM is just under 4 lbs., so 2 lbs add, not bad.
