Well, it is almost, I said almost too hot to ride in Dallas unless my new blue beauty gets here soon then it's saddle up and make wind, ohh.

But it is a dry heat! ;D

I live in Fort Worth and I have been riding everyday. The thermometer on my ST1300 indicated 111 going up 35W on my way to the dentist this afternoon. A cool vest and Camelbak work wonders on a long rides at this time of year.

STRICTLY AN UNSUBSTANTIATED COMMENT......Now this is totally not verified but part of the conversation I had with this person was that there might actually be a few bikes here but they wanted to get more here to do a big release and not have some people get a bike with a lot of others waiting. STRICTLY AN UNSUBSTANTIATED COMMENT....makes sense though

Sounds about right.... In fact all the bikes are in Long Beach... They are just waiting for all the free gifts they are going to give us from Yamaha, being LAST in the world to get this dumb machine........

funny..... I hope that the free gift you speak of is a clone of Monica Bellucci for each one of us.

But in the end, I guess the fact that we pay a lot less for this bike than pretty much everyone makes up for it... I guess.

Not to mention the fact that everyone else's bikes will be worn out by the time we get our shiny new Teneres. Hmm... Guess I'd really rather be wearing a bike out than looking @ pictures of new ones..... ;D

In the 80s and 90s I worked for a number of Japanese vehicle distributors in LA. Nissan, Isuzu, Mitsu, Honda...to name a few; I still maintain a network of contacts.

At great personal risk, I was able to secure a photo of the warehouse where all of our US bikes are presently being kept; Yamaha is apparently working out distribution details....I was told "....We have top men working on it now"...I asked who?.... "Top men".

Maybe Yamaha USA is preparing an official "Last Edition" for it's U.S. customers. They are simply delaying all deliveries until the new decals arrive.
