Manual tensioner blocks off the oil port to the tensioner. This is fine since this is a "dead end" even with the hydraulically damped tensioner.Don in Lodi said:I had a question about the tensioner, mechanical vs hydraulic. Does the mechanical still create the resistance needed in the oiling system to maintain pressure? The story on the spun bearing reminded me to ask.
Trust me they will like the others give you a call or Email you an offer to make up the difference before they offer you a full refund and tell you they can't sell it that cheap.avc8130 said:They had already billed me and charged my CC for the part the moment I placed the order. I asked the CS and he said I would be notified about ANY change in price of the back order (he was mostly insinuating if it was "canceled"). I checked my CC. Nothing out of the ordinary to report.

Correct, as well as the ECB clutch holding tool.coastie said:I think he said, he needs the nut that holds it on as he did not know it was single use. Its on order.
Is the nut you ordered part number 90179-20007-00?avc8130 said:Correct, as well as the ECB clutch holding tool.
I didn't buy all of these since I was concerned I wouldn't get the basket.

I won't speak for anthony, but till he chimes in, yes that's the nut you need if you choose to follow the SM's "one-time use"recommendation.fredz43 said:Is the nut you ordered part number 90179-20007-00?
Thanks.
Thanks, Karson. I don't need the nut, as I already have the new clutch basket installed (surrounded by a new ES) ;D, but the friend that bought my 12 ordered the basket, nut, and gasket and I was checking to see if we ordered the correct nut. Looks like we did.Karson said:I won't speak for anthony, but till he chimes in, yes that's the nut you need if you choose to follow the SM's "one-time use"recommendation.
Quite a pricey nut compared to these discounted baskets
That be the one. I'm also ordering the 14 CCT since the side cover needs to come off to change that too. I figure I'll knock it all out at once.fredz43 said:Thanks, Karson.
