I had the Yamaha touring screen and it was cr@p. I now have the MRA VArio Touring and it is perfect. Total windstill behind it even at 180+

I also have WASP's vario screen mount, so you can choose the setting you like best.

Don't hesitate get the MRA Vario Touring (smoke) and you'll be even happier with your bike. And also get the WASP screen mount. ::008::

The standard screen really didn't offer much protection. I have a Skidmarx screen (from the West country, bought at the NEC show) with a Touratech screen mount, and it is fantastic. Screen was about £50 at the show and I think the Ttech mount is just over £100 (I did a deal at the NEC) . It is totally adjustable for height and rake and works great.

::002:: Instead of moaning about the lack of weather protection on Upper body + Dirty boots+ Helmet noise and how many other unconsequential petty imagined or otherwise faults of the super 10, Why not buy a 4 wheeled cage,(car). Drive with the windows closed and the air-con turned to where you are most comfortable, ::021:: ::021:: ::002::

Because wind buffeting is unbearable. It ruines your ride, you cannot enjoy a ride on your bike if there is (a fair amount of) buffeting.

I just installed the Yamaha OEM tall (touring) screen as a replacement for the smaller screen that was original equipment. I have the Touratech mounting bracket and run the new screen in the high postion, have the seat in the high position, performed the reduced front slant mod, and am 5'11".

I find the Yamaha touring screen to be a big improvement in minimizing the buffeting. Due to the screens height and thickness (or thinness) I can see that above 70 mph you would experience quite a bit of wobbling of the screen. Below 70 MPH, even on a windy day, I find it to be quite adequate.

I almost didn't choose this screen due to some of the reports but am glad I did for the type of riding that I do. YMMV (ok forget "may", it will).

sallydog,

Here's that photo of my Givi plus the Yamaha "side deflectors" I mentioned to you over on ADVrider. For me, this setup works great and offers no buffeting but enough air to keep me happy. I am 6' 6".

Would like to hear about this one. Nice looks but does it work with stock mounts?
It works with stock mounts. No problem.

I have one coming in a few days.
