Re: Over sized Safari tank for the Super Tenere
this forum is funny, probably why i rarely come on here, lots of opinionated people on here that like to tell you what you don't want or need because they don't want or need it, or look for a cheaper option or an unsafe option
or based on 'their worldly experience' ...usually minimal or their business interests in some other random industry...
maybe the naysayers should move on or sit by and watch or not try and make opinions for buyers in the future, i personally think Yamaha will make this model for a long time, and there might be tank buyers that are not on this forum (almost definitely), the bike is sold worldwide remember, did that ever cross your mind.
so based on your argument, which is very valid and correct in its basic idea...ponder this question; just as a test case of course, why don't we make a tank for a GasGas 450 an extremely small production bike that has very minimal sales for a company that may or may not be out of business in the near future...of course we wouldn't that would be crazy and a massive waste of money...right?

like OX-34 and bikerdoc said why don't we let the tank manufacturers make the final decision and if you're not interested thats not a problem, there is no peer pressure to buy
a little FYI to you naysayers...i have been talking with a tank manufacturer this week who contacted me, not the other way around. They have shown a great deal of interest and are scheduling bikes to arrive at the facility to start the process of reverse engineering and initial fitment and shape.
...but for me its too late i'm off to go and ride RTW again, i wish you well and hopefully you get what i was trying to achieve for the ones that wanted it, if it doesn't happen then the naysayers get the glory and get to say "told you so" and then they can move on to the next thing and cast their unwanted opinion
