Once the altrider bars are on it might be harder to access. I don't know how often I'll need to get to it, but it might be better under the seat somewhere. If it's mounted there wiring to the front might be a challenge. Decisions, decisions ???

I have not put mine in yet.. 110 in my shop, so a couple hrs is all I get.
I have the ALTrider bars and you can take the right side cover off in less than a minute. No joke.. I will say this, getting to the battery connections is a bear with the bar in the way. At least it was for me..lol

I think under the right side or under the seat is ok. I will be putting mine under the right side cover, as most of what will be connected will be in the cockpit..

Wasp had a thread I think of a fuze block installed. I remember seeing it here but can't find the thread right now. It was on the right side by the tool kit i think. Once I get my bike that will be one of the first things I in stall so I will take pictures. Hopefully get it on friday.

I have been thinking about an additional fuse block. Need to connect the GPS and are considering an additional power outlet, Stebel air horn, WASP three light set,...

What is special about the FZ-1 Fuze Block (power distribution block) and who sells it?

I pulled the right cover today to look for a place to mount the FZ-1 Fuze block. I will fit very nice next to the battery except that you have to take out a plastic pillar that doesn't at this time seem to have a purpose. It is probably for some Yamaha accessory that I am not going to use. Tomorrow off it comes and in goes the FZ-1.

It's easy and cheap enough to just make your own relay and distribution point.

Installed my FZ-1 fuse block today. Very simple - nice space just above the tool kit on the right side.

:)
