Had been having a bit of angst owing to possible delayed delivery as a 2 wk June ride was planned.
Sold my VStrom too soon (as opposed to usually keeping a bike to long....THAT worked out really well.... :D). Decided to be pro-active and ensure a near on-time delivery of the S10 by purchasing a 2006 Tiger. ;)
Now my angst is gone. Can go on my several summer trips without worrying about it. Always wanted to try one of these out anyway. Gives me more time to get to know the S10 when it gets here and get the farkles that will work best for me.

Keep an eye out for an 06 Tiger for sale this fall.... :))

The Tiger is a great bike and a good stop-gap measure. Wish I would have hung on to mine. Favorite bike to date.

And for Yamaha to send us a T-shirt to tell us their sorry, gimme a break! I'm sorry for them.
It's one thing when a bites a stranger but that's bad when a bites it's owner.

I have said this before and I say it again, this time last year we were begging Yamaha to bring the S10 to the US. It is frustrating not knowing when the bikes will arrive. But at least we know that they WILL eventually get here. Sure I would like to have my bike next month but if that does not happen, I will be able to ride the bikes I do have. That said, everyone's situation is different. As others have said, maybe you should look at alternatives if schedules or whatever dictate.
