I hope and pray I get to do that before the end of my career! Now that is a want that I need to accomplish! I've boxed many a vehicle in so they can't get out from where they parked, illegally. It's fun to "interact" with them when they come out and ask ME to move while we're treating someone or there's some other active incident activity going on. My usual response falls along the lines of, "Sure, I'll move just as soon as this person's situation, which is not looking good right now, allows me to stop doing my job so I can no longer inconvenience you. While you're waiting, go stand over there next to that red curb. If you can;t wait, I;ll get a police officer over here to help you pass the time."Venture said:

I visited the eagle site yesterday and there were two chicks and an egg that looked about ready for hatching. Today there are two chicks, no egg and a bit of feathers. Maybe the number three chick didn't make it.superT said:Count to one hundred, take some deep breaths. Or go to this web site for awhile - maybe it will help you relax.

Instead of crying about my new motorcycle, I sent some money to the Red Cross for Japan.
A friend of mine had his FJR delivered EARLY in one of the PDP programs for that bike. Yamaha apologized, and gave him a set of saddlebag liners as compensation for the "inconvenience".Venture said:I don't want to give false hope, but if I were in Yamaha's shoes, even without it being their fault I would think they'd try and throw in something at the end of it all as a thank-you to all the folks who were patient. Even something small like a free T-shirt would go a long way with soothing over customers. I have no idea if they've ever done something like this before but it sure wouldn't be a bad idea.
Same here. I might even be able to save up enough to take delivery without having to take out a loan. I will have a third entering college this Fall, so that remains to be seen. ???ColoRider said:The additional wait has allowed me to work on my farkle list a little more. I'm able to get almost everything purchased ahead of time and the credit card cleared BEFORE taking delivery of the bike itself.
Wow,, If I had 3 in college, I would be lucky to afford tires, let alone a new bike.. :'(ptfjjj said:Same here. I might even be able to save up enough to take delivery without have to take out a loan. I will have a third entering college this Fall, so that remains to be seen. ???
I'm figuring gas will be more expensive than tires before much longer...............japako said:Wow,, If I had 3 in college, I would be lucky to afford tires, let alone a new bike.. :'(
+1. I just keep imagining myself on the bike and thinking of how fast the memory of the wait will fade once I'm on it and enjoying it.Yamaguy55 said:This is supposed to be enjoyable, not aggravating. Go find enjoyment.
No you'll be right, they are all made from oil so gas will still be "cheaper". ;DColoRider said:I'm figuring gas will be more expensive than tires before much longer...............

I'm like you gunny, and I have been wating 7+ for mine now and no way am I going to giving up on it.gunny said:So, while I can certainly see the advantage of a good vent, just cancel the order and go elsewhere. This is supposed to be enjoyable, not aggravating. Go find enjoyment.
+1 - Well Said. I've been waiting 6 1/2 months for my S10, so a few more months aren't going to kill me. I'm actually enjoying the wait. It's kind of like being a kid waiting for Christmas - the waiting is part of the fun. Besides, I've still got my Wee-Strom, KLR650, and WR250R in the garage, so I'll be riding something this year, while I wait for my Raven S10!
I'm at 6 1/2 months right now and figure another 3 to go. Sure, it's a long wait - but it has allowed me to research farkles and order them at a more leisurely pace. By the time the bike gets here (in July hopefully), I will have all my planned farkles ready to go (and paid for).Combo said:I'm like you gunny, and I have been wating 7+ for mine now and no way am I going to giving up on it.
Collecting all kinds of stuff for it, new riding gear and all. It just makes it all the better.
My Christmas may be June, July .....................or what ever.................I will be ready  When my dealer calls I will be like a kid in a candy store. Then katy bar the door )
