Would these work with the Givi Ranks on the 2014 S10?
Hi Harry - I believe DS Bike did get a raid box fitted behind GIVI racks, but it was with a specific set of brackets...the ones we have in stock for the OEM Yamaha bags probably wouldn't do the trick. Do you have the standard GIVI Monokey racks or CAM/Outback racks? I've got a nagging memory that the EU Monokey racks were somehow different than US racks, but can't imagine GIVI would make two different setups - may have been a version change? I'll see if I can get more info, but if you want to email some pics of your setup, I can see if we can match them up against what's been done before.Harry Dresden PI said:Would these work with the Givi Ranks on the 2014 S10?
What is the size of the door opening please? Curious as to whether my compressor would fit.rotaryracer said:Hi AZ Dean - sorry for the delay. The OEM box measures 10.75" L x 5.625" H (at the rear) x 3.375" W. Let me know how you make out?
Thanks!
Hi holligl - the door dimensions are 2 3/8" W x 4 1/4" H.holligl said:What is the size of the door opening please? Curious as to whether my compressor would fit.
The Gen 2 door can be had separately and will fit the older boxes.Grumpy said:My first gen. leaks, so I drilled a couple of small (.16") drainage holes in the lowest edge of the box with the bike on the prop stand.
Hi Propsoto - we have more on order with the manufacturer in Spain but do not have an ETA at this time. I would assume at least 30 days or so, although I'm hoping it's less.Propsoto said:Do you have an ETA for black ones?
You need a T-50 Torx "security" driver. I found a 3/8" drive one at Lowe's for just a few bucks.jwhuls said:How do I get the rear bolt out? It is one of those safety hex's.
Just put the door on upside down, no interference at all then.jwhuls said:I appreciate you help and I got it all worked out. tool box is great little stash spot.
Also, rained for many highway miles. not a single bit of moisture in the box.
the second gen turn signal is in the way, but with the flex it isn't really an issue. plenty of room to insert the key.
That’s what i did and it works great..WJBertrand said:Just put the door on upside down, no interference at all then.
Have you tried a message to the vendor rotaryracer? It shows he hasn't been on here since June of last year.Is this tool box still available ?
if not - what are the alternatives out there ?
Here's a link to ADVMOTORAD: BUMOT Defender Toolbox - XT1200Z Super Tenere (advmotorrad.com) Doesn't look like they carry the original one in this thread though. If they do, I couldn't find it. Looks like Bumont only now.Is this tool box still available ?
