Another positive testimonial for the Arrow headers, Leo Vince slip-on, PCV and AT.
It does smooth out the quitenoticeably. The comment of it being about as smooth as a 'Wing isnt far off. I have a Wing for comparison. You still feel the V-twin throbs, but the bike is really quite smooth after the complete package install. The "gravely" feel/vibration I had between 3500 and 4000 rpms is gone. I cannot comment on anything other than the complete package...I did it all at one time. If you ride a bike which the complete package is on, I would say you would be hooked....it is that different. I am more than pleased with the results...and I'm picky!
The header and pipe install is very easy. Just make sure to check your clearances with the rear tire and muffler before romping off into the sunset. ThE PCV and AT install is straight forward. The PCV and AT install is only "troublesome" (the hardest part) when you need to find, obtain and DISCONNECT the stock oxygen sensor connectors packaged in the little condom wrapping Yamaha puts them in above the battery. The PCV Optomizers have to be connected into the stock oygen sensor connectors and in my opinion, this was the hardest part. The rest of the PCV install is quite simple. There is nothing "complex" about it....read the direction, go one step at a time and just take your time and do it.
When you go to secure the 6 "loose" wires for the AT, there is a sealed membrane (for weather proofing) in the AT unit which has to be punctured when you insert the wires. You will have to push the already prepped soldered wires into the AT with more force than you would think, but once they are seated you will know they are seated. They are simply then secured with set screws.
