Getting ready to leave the Tradition Inn Saturday morning. S10EastTN is thinking "should I ride with this group of characters?" ;D

freak telling Brennan that he had better behave this time. ;)

Time for a break and a photo op.

Brennan trying to convince jiml53 that a swim at Big Spring state park would be a good idea.

The group checking out the beautiful Big Spring.

A pic of our designated photographer mbabc. You can see that he is delighted to finally be in one of the pics. ;)

Mark B. checking in.

Rolled in about 9:00 pm eastern guys. Took a small detour so a long day, just short of 500 miles.

I'll post my pics tomorrow. Fantastic event!

Here are my pics and comments -

Met Brennan and Jim early Friday for the ride over to Farmington. Bad start for me as I got a speeding ticket 1/4 mile from home.... ::007::

Stopped for lunch at the Marion Pit Bar-B-Q.

From there we rode up to the Cave in Rock ferry. Met some bicyclists riding from San Francisco to West Point, NY. Yeah we're tough guys...

Hot day! We crossed Illinois on 146 and up 3 to the Chester bridge.

Arrived and got cleaned up. Off to meet the folks.

Great food (and beer).

Saturday AM.

Here's Greg.

William telling Ed to set a slow pace so he won't get left behind.

Eric and Brennan.

Fred gives us a few pointers as Andrew, Eric and Ed listen.

Those Missouri roads...

Double alphabet = good!

Jim, newly retired and riding every second.

Brennan - Captain 'D'

Bill & Andrew

Jim & Denny

Lunch stop. Think we made their day!

Not us!

Rolling into Big Spring. Very neat site.

Beautiful!

Our fearless Fred.

The famous Bixby General store.

After our ice cream we ride back to Farmington via 32 and DD. Fantastic!
Took Jim, Brennan and I a bit to catch up. We got stuck behind a trailer rig and couldn't pass. Thanks for waiting guys!

Saturday night dinner. Great meeting old friends and making new ones.

Think it took Fred an hour to get his prime rib. He's ready!

Fred brought some great swag from Niehaus Cycle. Please thank them for me Fred.

Andrew & Brennan got cool caps.

Debbie got a shirt.

Eric too. Great meeting you guys. Next time I need to sit near you at dinner to hear of your adventures. They had this ultra nice Sprinter van setup...wow!

Brennan and I got a bit of a late start Sunday morning. Jim had busted back and was half way home before we even got up. We rode WW and T towards Chester. Great morning.

Took a couple pics in Chester. Popeye town.

Took 127 down to Cairo.

Stopped at the hill above Wickliffe. Love the history.

Long ride home but what a great weekend. Think I put in about 1200 miles for the 3 days. Hope to join you folks again.

Again, thanks to Fred and Ed for all the ground work. Really above & beyond guys!

Man sorry to hear that Greg. I was looking forward to hanging out again. Prune juice goes good with pain pills if you know what I mean. Hope you heal up soon. Mark

Rolled into Houston last night with 2950 new miles, 15 tourofhonor.com sites, and memories that cannot be replaced. Thanks Ed and Fred for the hard work...particularly enjoyed getting froggy on MotoGP Road! Tally: 2950 miles / 7 days comes to something like 422 miles a day. On the T, that feels like slacking! In completely unrelated news, around mile 2500 my Stoltec/Penske/Racetech suspension started working.
