It'd be great if when final decisions are made, a new "official" thread is started (and stickied please) to mitigate confusion and the OP on this thread is updated to point to the new thread.

I want to throw a date out there and see how it goes. I know some of you were trying to tie this rally in with another on the east side but I think most of the BDR will still be snowed in come mid June... The weather is just too iffy to plan on IMHO. My suggestion would be the weekend of July 22-23 2017. The passes will most likely be open it will be warm in the lowlands and refreshingly cool in the high country. I don't mean to poo poo on the others suggestion of June this is just my $.02.

It would be impossible to please everybody, as long as lodging is available and no other major rallies are scheduled at this same time i say lets roll with it. It was time to make a decision, im glad you did.

I've liked rallies that went mid week so I could travel on both ends of a week's vacation. My employer doesn't cotton to splitting a leave over two weeks.

We can lock this thread and point folks to the new thread when needed.

I don't feel worthy of starting the next Rally thread because if it's in the last half of July it looks like I won't be there.
I have been volunteered to help someone out then and I don't have a choice [family]

Steve, we could always go later. Like august, the only reason I said mid July was for high country snow. I was hoping posting a date would spur conversation not put anyone off. I live here I can ride this stuff any weekend I see fit. What works best??

One long continuous 3 week binge rally?
Population fluctuates, but accommodating for everyone.

Texas heat?

I've got 60 years of indoctrination.
Starts in May. Crushing by end of June. Barely hints at ending late September.

I'm the antecedent to the snowbird. I take 45 day jaunts outta state.
That's why I'm looking for a summer rally. The whole summer. :)
