It looks like it was towed to variuos locations. BMW 1200 GS 2013 While watching keep an eye out for the ramp and the tyre tracks from the trailer.

    Missing hero blob

Thanks for the update. I will stop feeling ripped off, and resume my belief in the infallability of the people responsible for producing my S10.

    Missing hero blob

I scraped my right hand peg the other day, when I checked out the scuff I was surprised to see that there was no hero blob fitted to the Right Hand peg. There is not even a tapped hole to mount one, the left peg looks normal. Has anybody else got a missing blob?

You got it. A pretty flat, straight run with no stops from home to work.

    S10 Fuel Consumption Thread

Gooday, I have not been on here for a while, but after todays fuel range triumph I thought I should report in. I have a commute of almost exactly 100Ks (real not indicated) and have managed to do it 5 times on one tank. The tank took 21.3 Litres to fill. There was an indicated 94KM after the...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Red dawg that looks amazing, Top job. Any chance of some close up photos maybe in the modifications area? I road race on the pushy and since the daughter got her drivers licence it is a huge drama to get one of the cars to get to the race.

    Heated grips.

Another vote for the Symtec grips. Slightly complicated install using a First Gear Heat Troller and the bikes heated grip connector. It all works very well. And the controller knob looks ok.

    An alternative ride..

My alternative ride is a bit down on top speed and power output. And this is the alternative to the alternative, for going down to the shops.

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Thanks, I was a bit unsure about drilling holes in my new bike. I just wired in the high elements. I will add the low elements in as well if they struggle in the depths of winter. Mick

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

I fitted some Symtec grip heaters and a First Gear Heat Troller. And a Givi rear rack, I am waiting for my topbox to arrive from moto24.org The rack was a pretty good buy: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/320851384252?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

Is anyone regularly hitting or breaking 200 miles or more per tank?

I have just refilled my third tank on my new S10 and am getting amazingly good economy. I used the bike for commuting only for the 437Ks that I got out of the tank. The commute is 50KM of quiet, flat, heavily policed highway with 100K speed limit. When I filled up I still had 3 Litres in the...

    Super Ten vs GS

And me! I bought my 2008 GS expecting a reliable bike that would hold its value despite the high Ks that I planned to do on the bike. I was wrong on both counts. I think in their quest for horsepower and light weight BMW have compromised the reliability of the GS. The electrical gremlins...

    New bike for me!

Yes, Graham I am happy with my choice of colour. Although I did not spend too long agonising over the different options. & yes, the S/Boy name is used over at ADVRider. The bike seems to be getting better, I tried my first dirt road today had the traction control light flashing at me.

    New bike for me!

Thanks for the good wishes, I picked up the bike this morning and rode the 250K to work. First (post test ride) impressions are very positive. It seems to have loads of torque down low, even compared to the GS. It is comfortable and feels solid, the brakes are excellent. Overall, maybe not...

    New bike for me!

Well 4 weeks since my '08 R1200GS was written off by an idiot who did a uturn in front of me, I am about to pick up my new Super Tenere. In the three years that I had the BM I put 85,000 KM on it, during the last 6 Months I experienced most of the bugbears of GS ownership. Thanks for all the...
