So, I FINALLY did something to my SuperT today! Removed the plate under the passenger seat, drilled the required holes {6} and installed the mounting plate/backing plate for my RotoPax jugs. Had to add a couple spacers to space out the grab rails slightly to clear the jugs. Now I can carry 2 gallons of extra fuel on the Whitehorse trip (assuming I can even afford fuel by then!!

200 mile loop to Johnsville, Ar. Just a wide spot in the road, but worth the ride to sample fresh boudin and home made pie. This months RTE destination. Great 80's and clear weather ride in the delta. Curvy rural back roads with little to no traffic. You gotta love it.

I may live next door to Rura Penthe but there are some real positives for an ST owner in this area.

This bike rocks!

Yeah, I know. I got in a hurry and put it all back together before I ever thought about grabbing my camera. I'll at least pull the rear seat tomorrow and take some of the top side of the plate and the mounting plate.

:)

I have been. Been busy remodeling/updating bathrooms in my house for the last 4-5 weeks. Does that count?

Same here. Simple, well made, price is competitive to the others. Beats welding a washer to the sidestand (KLRista mode).
Whaaaaatt! You mean I could have just welded a washer to the sidestand???? :D

Nice! Did you wire the Hi-Lo elements in parallel for maximum heat?
Thanks, I was a bit unsure about drilling holes in my new bike.
I just wired in the high elements. I will add the low elements in as well if they struggle in the depths of winter.

Washed and preped the bike for the beginning of what I hope is a succesfull Iron Butt Master Traveler attempt. All I need to do when I get up in the morning is throw the last few items in my Wolfman Dry Bag and hit the road for the south. I plan to make the following states weather permitting. Kentucky , Tennessee , Mississippi , Louisiana , Alabama , Georgia , Florida and South Carolina on this leg. May not make them all but I'll have fun trying.

Did you get it at Argyll Motorsports? If you did then I might have sat on your bike in the showroom a few weeks ago before I bought mine. ::001:: ::022::

Okay that does it, when are you leaving for White Horse? I plan to be just in front of you so when I run out of gas your tanker bike will be by soon!

Thanks! They come real close to fitting between the grab rails, but I did not want any extra pressure at the contact points so added a small spacer on each side. You can stack as many as you want in this position, but doubt I will ever want more than two total.

I got the sticker from one of the local SuperT owners, but not sure if he wants to go "public" with them.

I got it at E&S in Fort Saskatchewan. It is still there (stupid snow) with a "Do not sit" sign on it... The staff there are great. Bob wanted to show a "dressed up " version of the bike, so he put some plates (skid, transfer case etc), side cases, an Akropovic pipe, grip warmers, and a crash bar on it. He threw all of that in for 4K, and I was sold! He still has one blue one left in the box.....

I’ve been invited in a Yamaha test ride in Circuit de Catalunya, near Barcelona. They offer Super Tenere bikes to have a test.
I said to the Yamaha Team a Super T must be tested off road, not in a circuit and they agree, they said next month they are going to launch the Worldcrosser in an off road test and offer me the opportunity to be there… Great!

Product testing in Death Valley. Opps....
About ten miles up Warm Springs Canyon road, just about at Warm Springs Camp.

Hmm, soft, loose trail, big submerged rock, ~45 mph, 36 psi... Ahh, Sh*&! Fender extender caught on the skid plate and the rim bent. A quick trip to Las Vegas the next day and the rim is fixed, trued and life is good, all for $42.50. I should have aired down to 25 psi. Live and learn.
