Well a few months ago I took the bike up a shale covered access trail - somewhere along the road I hit some loose shale that kicked up just right a hit the skid plate - I stopped and saw it did not penetrate so I was happy - fast forward - it's time for a oil change so off comes the skid plate...

This is a good group of guys, I didn't buy mine there (were,t open yet) but they have cut me deals on accessories. I talked with them today they have 2 Tenere, 2 FJs and a couple of cruisers for this program. There is alot to see out here and this would be a great way to see the sights.... Usual...

I've been following this thread, I agree the Variant is a great looking helmet -but- I always wonder about those visors on these cross-over helmets and if they induce vibes behind our windscreens. Can anyone comment ? I to hope I can find a store locally that will allow a test (ride) :question:

Wohoo !! Just mounted up my new Sargent Seat - looks great the silver piping off sets the side panels. The SO seat is MUCH wider so I'm hoping she will give this one a passing grade (she mucho hated the stock seat) as for me I'm pleased with the looks and for sitting on it making vroom-vroom...

Had one on a Guzzi years ago - very nice then - I'm patiently waiting for this one...... 8) .............Hurry the #$$% up!!!

I was reminded of a cheap replacement option -a hockey puck- cheap and available, just drill up-bolt on with spare stainless hardware. Seems like this would add height to the existing kickstand and would also spread the load on less than perfect surfaces. I'll give it a try and report back...
