    Provincial/Territorial Count

I'm one in Alberta. I see another black one running with luggage around St. Albert fairly often as well. And there is the blue one. I guess that means I can vouch for 3 in the St. Albert/ Edmonton area. The crap part is I always see them in passing, never had a chance to run one of the...

Services on Beartooth Highway - 200 mile range

Thanks everyone. Rolled through the whole thing and into Billings on fumes, just to prove my worries were invalid. There was gas at every place you mentioned, so we were in good hands. Raced a rain storm off the mountain. Good times.

Services on Beartooth Highway - 200 mile range

My dad and I are riding the Beartooth Highway tomorrow. He only has (at most) a 175 mile range on his gas guzzling Can-Am Spyder. We're travelling from Livingston to Gardiner at the northwest entrance to Yellowstone where he will top up. Is there anywhere to fill up before we start the...

Headlight adjustment, only a phillips screwdriver needed

Great instructions, finished this in excellent time. We used the 8mm ratchet to do it, took 4 and a half turns to get it down about 2.5 inches.

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Adjusted my headlights down, as the lowering link had them lighting up everyone's rear view at night and I was getting a lot of "hey dick, your lights are too bright" flashes. Added the tall wind screen and mounted an MSR bottle on my rear rack (inside the rack, behind the pannier)...

LED RUNNING SPOT LIGHT & AMBER TURN SIGNAL IN ONE!

I feel like I must be on crazy pills. Isn't the requirement for running lights to be amber? I'm seriously poring over multiple sites on the net and I'm not finding it anywhere, but my brain insists that it must be true. Obviously no red lamps facing forward. I read online so far that of they...

    I've seen them!

Hah, I'm in the same boat in Edmonton. The water comes up to the rims of my car in the parking lot, and there is way too much ice on the side streets. But once you get past the ersatz lakes and icebergs, the main roads look passable if not for potholes the size of a motorcycle tire that could...

    I've seen them!

Damn you mother nature and your fickle, fickle ways! 5-10 cm of snow, -15c and more on the way. It's like the worst c*cktease, when we were one week of decent above zero weather away from having two wheels down. Now Edmonton looks just like Rem's picture, and no end in sight. Be right...

    Sena SMH-10R

For the record, I appreciate the input about your dealings with SENA. I don't consider it a derail, since I was asking if anyone had used one before and since I'd only ever used Scala and Nolan communication products. Thanks for the feedback, it gives me something to read and possibly expect...

    I've seen them!

There is just the tiniest little bit of me laughing really hard at you poor sods south of here and the cold snap you got. The service road in front of my house and my parking lot are still full of ice and snow up to the curb. Both curbs. It's going to take a couple of weeks of much nicer...

    I've seen them!

Well, it may be just below 0 degrees here in Edmonton, but I've seen people out riding as of the past weekend. I got home and stuck my registration to the fridge, in preparation for rolling out the fast black Super Ten. Thinking maybe March 20th this year, over 1 week later than last year...

    Sena SMH-10R

We have 2 of 3 SMH 10R installed. My parents have got their helmets wired up, synced and talk to each other across the house using motorcycle helmets. ::) a few photos: My mother's Nolan N43 You can see how my father wired the entire set through the access panel where Nolan's proprietary...

    Sena SMH-10R

Couple of close-ups of the contents: It comes with large speakers for inside the helmet. I see on Sena's website they sell different sized speakers if you need them. I think you can see the curve of the battery here. It's got velcro on the inside curve. It should attach outside the...

    Sena SMH-10R

Received it this week and unpacked it. It's not quite what I expected. The battery is curved to fit on the back of your helmet and the shape is not conducive to put inside the helmet. I don't love the idea of the external battery. We purchased 3 kits so that the whole famn damily could...

    Black on black...on black

Hah, I guess winter does it to all of us. I'm shopping up the parts to make my Fast Black into Black and Black and Red. I like the red trim on the rims. Consider it stolen (the idea that is, I'll let you keep your rims)
