Sadly, just looked at 'er before and after work. But did make a few minor plans on a fine Sierra Nevada route I'm' riding come Father's Day...That doesn't suck.

Put on a Parabellum windshield on mine last night, and rode into work today. Much better air management, except it seems to direct more air down the upper part of the bike, which meant more air on the upper leg "area". Going to have to get the side deflectors for that. But at least my head doesn't feel like it is a ping pong ball anymore at speed. ::012::

Ran through some heavy mist, and did not get the water "dripping" off the top of the windshield into the helmet, which was nice. It was interesting that all the edges were orange due to the front turn signals (have the windsield all the way down).

First time around I painted the side panels myself with rattle cans. The result was ok. not great. I went for a mette finish originally.

Last week I had a local guy that paints bikes do the side panels. He was doing some silver on another bike and added mine to the job. Got it at a good price....
Looks fantastic,

ac - still planning on making the trip up to see you for the ECU upgrade. Maybe some time in April...
I'm off the week of the 7th. How about a flash and ride? Maybe the weekend before if you guys are working during the week.

I picked up the Pyramid Plastics rear fender hugger from the US distributor on eBAY. It seems well made and has about 1 in. of clearance between the tire and has good hardware. I did not like how the left side bracket covers the counter-bore which the nut holding the pumpkin normally seats on. So I added an additional washer on the stud, so that the bracket has good surface to seat on.

They must have the valve cover gasket in stock to do your valve service. Because currently they are back ordered nationwide. :(

That's crazy.

True, but the tech doesn't want to chance tearing it down to that point and having no backup if it is damaged.
Believe me, I told him the same thing. He smiled politely and reminded me he works on them every single day. Lol

;D took of the screen , fiited side wind deflectors [ got from Powerbronze - beautifully made and cheaper than Yamaha, then fitted a MRA Vario screen - again a good price at £90. Wish I'd tried the side deflectors with the original screen to assess them properly but certainly the combined package is very effective - no buffeting and a lot quieter!

Reinstalled the ECU after flash from OTR.
- Sport mode much more responsive. Throttle very "sensitive". More than enough power for me :)
- Touring mode almost(?) as original.

Installed Wind-Screen mount from Wunderlich/Hepco&Becker.
- Still not happy, some buffeting and turbulence even in top position - more testing required.
