I'll also answer my own question in addition to what has been said - because the motorcycle mount for the Zumo 660 (and I'm assuming other models) is hard wired to bare wires and a bunch of other supplemental wires which makes it a big fat mess.

Question: I'm already using the 3-prong connector as discussed above for my PIAA lights. Any reason why I can't use the free 4-prong (on the 2014+ models) plug for this?

You surely can use the 4-prong connector. You can also use the 3-prong connector by using positaps. The GPS draws very little current and it doesn't really matter if you're using the 3-prong connector for the PIAA lights.
