I recognize all this talk about price/value of the T7 from before it hit the street here in Europe.
Back then a lot of people considered it over priced considering the engine size, relatively low spec and simplicity of the bike.
When it finally arrived and people got the opportunity to do test rides things changed.
It turned out that Yamaha hadn't been lying when proclaiming that this bike would set a new standard for middleweight adventure bikes.
It's a true off tarmac travel bike for the solo rider.
It punches well above its weight, and perform better than it has any right to do when looking at the specs.
The T7 appeals to a very wide variety of riders, but most are in one of the following two categories:
1. Young/new riders who upgrade from smaller bikes.
2. Older experienced riders who downsize from +1000 cc adventure bikes.
- I get the impression that the majority is from the 2nd group.
