Thanks for that information.I had it in my head Super tenere were 45mpg bikes that would never do 60mpg.I am going to test ride 2 Tenere tomorrow. If you get to Gibraltar and go up to the top of the mountain on the cable car.hold on tight to everything as the monkeys take anything there.Enjoy your trip.

Done the trip already but thanks for the tip.
I once went to Gib but was less than impressed, so once is enough for me.
Regarding the economy: I don't know if the bike I bought s/h was already flashed or not. All I can tell you is that the average consumption that was zeroed in Dieppe at the beginning of that trip, and at the end it read ave 65mpg.
However, my colleague and I do not, unless we have to, do motorways so average speed was closer to 45-50mph and most of the time I had cruise on which saves fuel.
At the current cost of fuel we were conservative in our use.

Don't think too much about it, just get one.

Whilst we were on our way down, halfway through France, and some of Spain we experienced 42 degree heat.
I can now say that the wet T shirt trick worked perfectly and it felt that we had air conditioning. I've been advised it works too effectively with a mesh jacket (I used a Halvarsson's laminated jacket).
This trip for me was partly about testing out equipment, the bike, and clothing as my wife and I are planning on going on The S10 to India and back, so heat will be a feature of that for sure...

India Why would you want to go to a country with a population of 3.7 billion people.Dont expect to eat food that your used to eating in the UK out there. That would be a trip from Hell for me.The stuff our butchers in UK throw away they eat out there.Keep it.

Maybe to find the other 2.288 billion that you assert are there?

That was with refernce to distance and the chaps who get a ferry to Sanatander rather than crossing France, in any event, it was justa bit of fun, no harm intended.
Our humour doesn’t always travel well when it has to cross the Atlantic! I just did 2800 miles around Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany in 9 days and the temperature ”only” got up to 38C for me but that was quite enough! I really like your trip! I can see a plan emerging here!
By the way, I got 58mpg for the entire trip, the best fuel consumption that I have had from my S10, usually I get 53-55 for a European trip so it seems to improve as the miles click up.

Okay my mistake.I had it in my head it was 3.7 billion.1.4 billion is enough.I cannot see you wearing vented jackets in a climate like that. But definitely loads of factor 50 and water in your topbox.
No problem, I had no idea in fact and had to check myself!
I come from a Spanish family and my wife is spanish so we're used to eating some unusual foods (pigs ear, rabbits head to name a couple, but we'll still have to be careful)
However the culture change has to be incredible.
My original route was via Iran and pakistan, but due to geo-political reasons that won't be viable, at least until something changes.

The chap I went with on the trip is from St Asaph, you may have heard of it.
I'm 60 this year so it is doable for me at least, maybe get some crowdfunding for a worthy cause...

If you are using iOS you can tap and hold the key and a menu opens giving you the options available for that letter
Thanks, Windows on a PC, but I have learned since: áéíóú and by having a word document with a ñ in it, I can at least copy and paste it

Now it's my turn to be the lightweight!!
In fairness to that sort of distance I'd have to cross a few countries and logistically that's a nightmare after Brexit atc. You can and stay in your country. Lucky thing.
Really? Once you’re across the channel there’s no borders, you can do France, Spain, Italy, Austria, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Poland etc etc.

Thats correct, you only need your passport viewed when exiting and entering U.K. Your passport will be viewed and stamped when entering the EU but you can then travel freely throughout the EU countrie. One thing to bear in mind is since Brexit, you can only stay in the EU for 90 days in 180 consecutive days.

Yes, you're right, but to clock up those sort of miles I'd want to go further afield. I was thinking of the intended trip to India.
Frankly, I wouldn't want to do that sort of mileage within europe as there's not much I haven't seen, including outside-Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
The Spanish trip was primarily about testing out clothing in heat and what I could carry on the S10, luggage options as well.
Also I'm new to the S10, and having a warranty on it till next year, I wanted to give it a wringing out with luggage to see if any cracks appear-of course none did.

Europe is great but we in North America find it easier to go farther because - well a picture says 1,000 words...
