Keep up you maintenance log and the YES becomes a help when you try to sell the bike later too.

The best I remember it was 3-4 weeks before I got the paperwork in the mail from Yamaha. Be patient.

The other thing about YES is that you can get a refund for the unused portion at any point in the life of the contract. If you decide against it later, you can request it and you'll get a check from the dealer.
