That's a rumor that has been going around also involving other manufacturers.
When I hear it from corporate and not some talking head looking for youtube views then I will believe it.
All the best.

Too many unaddressed issues. The biggest in my mind is how do they get a ready to ride machine into the buyers hands?

I agree, I do not think Yamaha would announce this on Youtube

Yeah, I do have to wonder about this. This would normally be a major upheaval type of announcement, with motorcycle dealers losing their collective minds, and accompanying threats of lawsuits against Yamaha from its dealer network, at least as far as the US is concerned. Plus, 48 states have some sort of prohibition regarding direct sales from a manufacturer to a consumer that would have to be overcome before something like this could take place. Tesla has gotten away with it to a limited degree by pleading special circumstances due to the type of vehicle they were selling, but Yamaha (or any ICE powered vehicle manufacturer) wouldn't have this special circumstance.

There would be a lot of legal hurdles to overcome before this could be a reality, no matter what the CEO of Yamaha said.

Agree, its YouTube BS, thought I would post it and get some reaction.
A friend sent it to me and wanted to know what's up with this LOL.
Interesting concept but like most people purchasing, the ability to touch and feel as well as sit on the bike cannot be had without a real show room.

I just saw another one of these nonsense videos on Youtube, only this time it's the CEO of Jeep warning all EV makers to shut down. Same talking head format, same narrator's voice, same bullshit. Out of curiosity I looked at the content creator's Youtube page ("Motorcycle Central"), and every single one of their videos is exactly like this.

This is how the world ends; not with another Chicxulub asteroid, or a Yellowstone supervolcano, or a nuclear capable North Korean dictator, but with all of us drowning in a sea of self created disinformation bullshit.

I don't attribute any sinister motivation to it, Sierra; in fact, for stuff like this, giving it a sinister cabal-like veneer is its own form of disinformation. It's even worse in a way than a deliberate plot with a goal; it's just idiots spewing nonsense for the sake of spewing nonsense, simply for the lulz. No goal, no agenda, beyond seeing how many people will view their video and repost it somewhere, and talk about it, and generate clicks. It's Second Wave Disinformation.

You could be right. But productions like this, with the support that they have . . . . that's a whole lot of stupid people with a whole lot of backers.
