What do you consider a reasonable price for a year and half old bike with $2000 worth of upgrades? Seems to me if you buy a new bike for $11000 new + 2000 in upgrades, it would be worth 10,000 for a like new one with 3700 miles. Save the $3000 and go on a nice trip to Alaska.
If you want a $9000 bike, I will be more than happy to put it back to stock.
That's a difficult question. $2000 of upgrades is great, but only if it's the
right $2000 in upgrades. For example, if you have OEM panniers, someone is going to want Jesse ones. If you have a throttlemeister, someone is going to want a Kaoko. If you have a Sargent seat, someone is going to want a Russell Day Long. The list goes on and on. Said in short, the bike may have $2000 of upgrades, but if they're not the upgrades that the buyer wants, and would do anyhow, then you won't recoup any of the upgrade price.
It's been said before, and I will say it again, if you want to get the top dollar, your best bet is likely to strip the bike as close to stock as possible, and sell it that way. After doing so, sell the upgrades individually, thereby getting top dollar, because the person buying them really wants them, and is willing to pay a price for them.
I suspect if you offer your bike for $9,000 as stock as possible, it will not be around for long. Good luck with the sale.
