I was messin' with you, RonH. Whatever works best for you is the way to go. I'm addicted to panniers. I've tried the waterproof bags and such and I just don't care for them. I already had the Givi topcase, so made sense to get a rack for the Yamaha. I carry a lot stuff that I generally don't need, but I'm one of those overprepared kind of guys.

The crash bars are a must as sooner or later I'll lay my bike over in the parking lot, and I figure it will cost more to fix that than what the bars cost. The skid plate is optional, but I figured what the hell.

That will be it for me. I'm just not that aggressive of a rider. I think stock is a great way to go. I like being able to see the clean original lines of the bike.

I was just being a smartass, something at which I excel. I hope you guys get them soon. R

congrats Rem, thanks for the pics as well. I've got the same set up for mine, if it ever comes in. The wait has been more than I expected. Finding it better to recede into the woodwork until the thing arrives. I hope that when it comes in, it will be worth it. Hope to take it to the east coast Canada this Summer or not. I am giving it to September 1 to get here. Enjoy it and yes I am envious...

WEll, I don't even have 20 miles on the bike.

You're gonna like it. And by this time next year, there will be so many accessories available you'll have to take a third job to pay for them all. R
Super Rem!!!!! Glad you got your's as well!!!! Thanks for all the pictures. I'm guessing we have about 2-3 weeks to go down here before we start getting calls. about our bikes!!

Looks and sounds great. I'm still going to keep mine stock though. Don't need any add ons. I got duffle bags and straps that will be my luggage.
I will do the same thing with my bike going to install my Grandmothers grocery bags.

A smart ass after my own heart ..... >:D I love it.

If there are any particular pics you guys want, just ask. I'll do my best.

I inquired about the "peg feelers". There is a place for them but they don't come on the bike.

Everything else is pretty much as advertised. It's just your basic, plain rem, standard, magnificent, stupendous, awesome, incredible motorsickle. I guess I won't be getting a Spyder after all. R

Rem, I also have the Micatech bags with the roof racks. The look grew on me and felt the price was as good or better than most. I also have a V46 topcase that I use on my FJR but not sure yet if will fix a way to move it back and forth. If so, Premier is developing a replacement rack with a $20 kit for use with Givi topcases if want to add it on and a helmet lock can but mounted too.

Man, I hope that ship has been unloading some bikes in the lower 48.

Once they hit solid ground, it appears that Yamaha has cleared the way for fast delivery. Mine would have been here Monday, but the transportation company out of Edmonton screwed it up. Yamaha had fast tracked everything. I guess all 5 of us are supposed to go in next week for pics.

I guess the women will be all over me again. I'm just so sick of it. I feel like a slab of meat. Oh well, you do what you have to. R

Rem, you have to understand, you are the first person with a real S10, and, real Micatech side cases... :) All we have seen before is photo chopped pics.. :( This is our first chance to see the real deal.... :)

Question, how do you have the cases mounted? Are they forward, or more to the rear, up or down. Could we have a pic from the rear, case high, dead on...
Thanks

No worries. I accept all requests except posing nekked with my bike. I mean, a guy has to have some standards.

Panniers are as far back and as high as I can get them. There are several pics under one of the threads, but I'll do another one here later. They are on my other computer and I'm too lazy to waddle down right now. Maybe check out earlier in this thread. They might be here. The panniers went on really well. I sent some pics to Micatech as per their request. I guess Sue is at some big trade show right now. Tough job. Jeeze.

I'll be out cruising around a bit today. Supposed to hit 75 degrees F today, but I'll just have to struggle through. I'll buck up and be a little man about it. R

I replaced my Suzuki 185 with a 1979 KZ1000 scared the shit out of riding it home.. Man that bike was fast for its time. I wrecked the thing slid it into a curb and flipped it over showing off. Didn't think they had a windshield or engine guards. Are they the stock pipes you have on?

I've decided not to pose nekked with the bike. The mosquitoes up here are brutal.

Regarding the "peg feeler", there is on on the left side, but not on the right side. The reasoning being that if you lean your bike over far enough to scrape the peg on the left side, you would have already scraped the center stand. Ergo a feeler on that side but not the other.

There does not appear to be, nor is there any mention of, a helmet hook on the bike. R

Hey rem,

It's so good to here the S10 has finally landed. Thanks for the great reports and pictures. I'm really happy for you guys and can't wait to read more. :)

I won't see my Raven for a while yet, but I'm anxious to find out if its possible to switch the display unit between kph and mph. The UK manual I have says they can be changed by pressing the left set button for at least 2 seconds. Can you please check this out for me?

Thanks,
Mike

RonH, you plan on taking the Super T on IBR 2013?

I have a feeling this bike is going to be a very stable dependable ride for a long time.

Aw, man .... was that rude or what?? Just for that, I hope your bike comes in BLACK. No wait, that would be a good thing. Never mind. If it was black, it would already be there because it's ... you know .... never mind. R

Did the Canadian bikes come with the imobilzer system? Thought I saw a red key in one of your "out of the crate pics"?

Yes. Big red key to be locked away. It is used to program new keys. Never lose it or you have to replace the entire ignition system. I gave it to my wife. R
