Ok, so I'm new here, Ive had my Tenere for about 6 months and done a lot of reading here in which I saw there were quite a few people like myself that wanted the protection and look of the worldcrosser fork guards, but couldn't justify $500-600 for them. So together with my buddy who has been working with composites his whole life, we will be offering some fiberglass and likely some carbon fiber fork guards that are very similar to the ones sold by Yamaha. Probably looking at about $200 a set for fiberglass and a little more for carbon, just have to figure out the cost of materials on those. I'll try to post some pics of the prototypes and more details ASAP but again they look very similar to the ones from Yamaha. At this moment I'm just trying to get a feel for how many people would be interested in them so post up and let me know. Thanks

Welcome to the forum...

We have been selling the WC units and VERY comparable units that are similarly priced as you mentioned for the last year and half.. If you didn't know, people make them for the same price your offering in carbon and fiber...

Good luck, post pictures when you have the product ready....

Welcome to the forum Dan.

You mentioned about $200 for fiberglass and a little more for carbon. What is a little more?

Many of the Super Tenere riders have owned or still do own a KLR. Frugal we are. ;)

I definitely like the looks of the WC fork protectors, but would never considered spending $600. I'll probably be in the market for some replicas next year...only ones I've ever seen are the aluminum ones on ebay for around $200 (I think). Look forward to seeing pictures.

Follow Tasbasco's above link to rideonadv.com. They sell the WorldCrosser and their version for a fraction of the price...

I hope he gets his parts up and going... Its always good to have other options, maybe some that don't look just the same as the others...

We also offer them in carbon and fiber glass for about 1/3 the WC price.... Here is my bike with the carbon units.....

Bushyar15 & tomatocity... thanks for the info. I had trouble finding the replicas on the rideonadv site (prolly cause I was using a mobile version). Those are cool and definitely a lot more "cost friendly". While they look cool, I am digging the looks of the more "angular" ones... They will def be the last thing I buy since for me, it's simply a cosmetic add on (sure it provides some protection, but there are a lot better protectors for the same or less money :)). I can hear my dad, "If it don't make me go faster or stop quicker, I'm not havin' it.

These are about $160 shipped:

I did not know you manufactured the fork guards. Why don't you list the three models you manufacture, with prices, on your webpage?
