Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I see a bike with a few extra guards (some that are not well-regarded like the sump guard), fragile carbon-fiber bits that dramatically increase the financial hit if the thing tips over, and different paint/stickers (with questionable aesthetics). Unlike the GSA, no larger fuel tank, no extra suspension travel, no lower gearing, no larger windscreen/fairing, no extra lighting. It seems to me that if anyone wanted a Worldcrosser now, they simply could buy the bits from Yamaha and bolt them on. In fact, as I understand it the WC is not a different bike, but simply a bolt-on option package that the dealer puts on.
Color me underwhelmed. Maybe I'm missing something. I'm still waiting for someone on the Asian side of the pond to wake up and realize how easy it would be to produce an true Adventure version of the Strom or S10 using the GSA formula, particularly the bigger fuel tank. They'd sell like hotcakes.
Doesn't sound like it is US bound so probably an academic discussion.
