Actually I could have rode today because the new overnight snow mostly melted but the roads were so wet and sloppy.I love yellow Wings!
Wasn't great down here in southern Wisconsin today. Mostly just damp. Roads sort of dried by 3pm so I put another 35 mikes on the KLR
I was thinking about this post as the front end was washing out from underneath me on Friday. Was it cinders, or ice?...not sure, but it was awful hard (impossible) to see. I was very lucky to catch just short of an up-close inspection. I know I was on ice a few moments later. And is that water running across the road, ice, or water loaded with salt? Winter riding in the mountains of WV is a whole different animal. Either way, I did not want a fuzzy KTM, so broke out the hose when I got home. No dissolving allow. It's soon to be winter here in Wisconsin. For some reason when it comes to using salt Wisconsin will put down 5lbs when 1lbs would be sufficient. Worse yet the also use some sort of brine. Anyone who knows anything about KTMs knows they rust up terribly in that sort of environment, turn fuzzy and start to dissolve.
