Hey everybody
Were looking into mounts to mount one of our Baja Designs 10" stealth led light bar to the front of some adventure bikes just below the headlight.
If we started manufacturing mounts who would be interested in buying one? Just wanting to see what you guys think about this, any comments?
thanks
Mike

Ive looked at this in the past and have spoke to Deago about it. The 10" is really tight on the sides. The current install of your light bar is to wide. Have you tried to stick that light bar up into a Super Tenere yet ? Its too deep as well. If you have have it a bit more narrow and machine or extrude a shorter rear end it would fit up there NICE on the Super Tenere...

Saw this earlier and called Mike to let him know if they needed a bike for measurement or mock up I'm 15 minutes from their shop.

Good on ya tubebender...I was going to offer to ride over from Phoenix, would be good to go see some familiar places (went to Palomar College 89-90).

Count me in, the ST is just crying out for a light bar under the main headlights

Mike - I was kicking around the Rigid 10" E series.
Do you folks have anything like that?
I'm not sure it will fit in the opening.
Perhaps the E series 6" would work.
Let me know as I'm gonna do something before winter.

I'd be very interested as long as the usable output is good. I don't care about the 'be seen' lights as much as I do those that actually throw light farther down the road. If you can keep the bar and mount in the 3" tall range, that would be sweet and you'd probably have a hit. I don't think you'd need the dual function like the Squadrons as the light is right under the headlights and not as much of a 'noticeable' look as the Squadrons or fork mounted lights so a waste of an option, again in my opinion, but if it cuts the cost it's that much more attractive.

.

Yes we have our 10" Stealth LED light bar
which is brighter and significantly thinner.
We are working on this idea so we will keep you all updated.
Thanks

I'm all for it, but i don't want some shadetree looking brackets holding it on. A nice, powder coated panel with the light bar in it would be good. I hate bolting on a bunch of crap that is clearly not "factory". it makes it look like a BMW. ;)

The S10 stock headlight is terrible in turns. On a freeway ramp at night, it's like driving into blackness. I have to slow down to 10mph and fear getting rear-ended. I agree with Mellow, the priority must be that it throws light on the road. But especially, it should be effective in turns.

I also agree with bloodline, it should be rock-solid and powder-coated to look like it belongs there in an otherwise gaping hole.

With the right design, it could become almost standard for every S10 owner to buy one, for both safety and looks.

Especially if it plugs right into the stock Yamaha harness where Yamaha's own fog/driving lights plug in... ::008::

On another note, I think the S-10's headlights are incredibly good compared to the vast majority of OEM headlamps. That said, I found mine were *GROSSLY* mis-aimed right out of the crate... Some simple, quick headlight aiming and re-alignment turned them into the wonderful headlamps they are.

Those who find the stock headlamps lacking might try some adjustments and see if things improve.

Just my two centavos... YM, of course, MV.

+1. Plugging in to the harness will be ideal - then i can also use it on my other yamaha quads in the winter

Depending on price, i'd be interested, especially with a plug and play into the OEM fog lights harness.
