Or . . . . maybe slow down?. . . . Gonna have to sell a kidney. . . .
Not out of control but the front has some bump steer when you are going at it and hit a oopsie daisy in the road. Not scary but, not ideal if that makes sense. I don't have kids lol. The stabalizer would be a fine tune.I mean . . . . if she's getting squirrely and makin' you scairt . . . .
Also might be the tires. I had a little shimmy around 120 with the Dunlops. The new Conti front took it all away.
Think about doing beads myself.I used to be able to brag on my local shop. Not anymore. New owners that don't even know what an FJR or Super Tenere are. And yes, they ARE a Yamaha shop. My FJR kid is trying balance beads for the first time. So far he's liking them. He thinks the bike feels more solid at speed. (and if you haven't ever ridden an FJR, they're stupid fast)
Local independent... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmnmmmmmmmmmmmnmmmmmmmmmmmmHe was so mad at the Yamaha shop, (they said it would be a week before they could mount the tire) he stopped at a local independent Harley shop. They said they couldn't work on his bike, but they had no problems mounting tires. He brought the wheel and tire in, and they even put his axle in the ultrasonic cleaner. They're the ones that suggested the beads.
My shop I worked at had 30+ years. Worked at other major shops in the car world too. Means nothing to me now.The shop has been there for about 20 years. Longer than any other shop local. We'll see. Like I said, they're only going to be good for tires for us.
Yup. And nope.. . . .If people shoot me a fair one great... Seems like you have to advocate for that now.
Aint no donkie or elephant solving it either.
+1 on Warm n Safe! I ride more in the fall/winter /spring than our brutal hot summers. Fortunately at my lower elevation in the Sierra's I only lose a few weeks (or less) a winter to snow. The Warm and Safe heated jacket liner, gloves, and heated grips made for a warm day!
I never realized that NZ had those type of mountains. Beautiful.Hakataramea Pass. The motorcycle Gods were smiling today folks.
