Finally did the last couple items I was holding on.
-Tapped and installed bulletproof inserts into the pro taper bars
-Installed the protaper adv hi bars, with gen1 bar ends
-installed Ladlesport adv 2.5" extended braided clutch and brake lines. Still need to bleed and button up the clutch/brake one of the screws on the clutch cover came a bit more mangled than i'd care to reuse so need to replace that
-installed oxford adventure heated grips (previous heated grips were lacking they got warm but that was it, I want painful hot if I need for that winter riding.)
-installed the dash infill panel, moved switches for the light bar from hidden in the fairing to on the dash
-installed my twisted throttle pod lights.

lasty i can install my cycra pro hand guards but will likely use the stock ones for the winter, and this job is done

Fitted new levers. Seem decent quality and easy fitment. Put the standard exhaust back on , after my recent trip the Yoshi can is too loud. Whilst removing it sussed that it was drawing in air through the joint onto the original pipe work. Probably explains a lot of popping and banging. Have to say bike seems to run and behave better with the standard can.

Picked mine up from having the valves adjusted. First time with 46,000 miles. Spark plugs were spotless, so the O-ring and dielectric grease did their job! First time someone else touched my bike to work on it :(

Amazing to me that folks do the measurements in inches instead of mm, given the shims are metric. So much easier to figure out the shim needed. Was it a dealer? What did it cost?

It was at a dealer, it was wayyyyyyyyy to much. 750 after tax with new spark plugs. Every place i called was around 600-800 to do this job by me. :/ I have no plans on getting rid of the bike so it was money well spent. I told the guy nobody has ever worked on it before but me Lol

Not surprised. I paid $400 for my first dealer check (no adjustment) back in 2017. I later found they failed to connect the breather hose. Later yet they went out of business. I do my own valve adjustments now. Well worth my time to save the money and know it's done right.

If you do everything else, you shouldn't be afraid of tackling the valve adjustment. My valve wear rate is relatively high so I can't go 50k intervals.

Tip - Always use a JIS screwdriver for both master cylinder screw sets!
i think i have like a handful non JIS drivers anymore, fully swapped over, dont see any reason not to have JIS solely, love my vessel drivers

Good to know that they are familiar with valve adjustments on Super Teneres. Mine is getting close and Wisconsin Rapids is only about 70 miles away.

Put the final touches on the Super Tenere to put her away for the 6 month slumber with Ole Man Winter. Just gotta say that we as Super Tenere owners are the luckiest people out there to own such a beautiful motorcycle. Just can't stop looking at it. Coming from a KLR the access in to the engine top end is my only complaint. The Yamaha engineers are just mean. Love, love, love it. Only have had it for 5 months and didn't ride as much as I wanted but sooooo looking forward to the Spring. For all that can still ride ,stay safe out there.
