Installed RAM mount on handlebar for cell phone. Fiddled with handlebar and seat positions - ended up putting everything back where it was after several back-and-forths.......ROX risers may be in my future to get bars back closer to me while seated. - And I have a 36" sleeve length go figure.

Rode a mere 250 miles. Set up camp, did an ice run. Cooked dinner and made a fire. Rain came in, bailed to the tent and listened to the rain as we fell asleep.

oil/filter change. Did the rear drive oil also. Also lubed the shifter mechanism as well. It wasn't binding but there wasn't much lube to speak of on there.

Seat Concepts seat has stitching down the top side edge, front to back. The edge is sharp enough to cut off circulation to my legs after about two hours, sooooo...

I took the cover off, and took a hasp file to remove foam to shape it skinnier, side to side towards the back of the top edge, and to remove foam to make the top edge "rounder" all over. About an hour for all that.

But, two trips to the HW store. Once to get smaller staples for the existing staple gun, and another to buy a new staple gun with new staples. Who knew that staples were manufacturer specific? (I had an older 'gun from my dad, and nothing fit it). Then, another half hour to fix the new gun when it broke (it threw out a small spring, whew!)

Now to wait for below 110 deg. temps for a ride.

It wasn't there before, see it now. And Yoyo's little icon thingy to the left is doing it too.

Unfortunately, it's popping up all over...Checkswrecks started a thread about alternative hosting sites because of the changes Photobucket made...

Pulled the ECU and sent it to Anthony for flashing. Can't wait to get it back.

Because of photobucket not working, I couldn't follow along with the ECU removal guide posted here and actually pulled whatever PCU is next to the ECU. Once I realized what I pulled was not the ECU, I put it back and got the real ECU, confirmed it with the service manual and away I went.

All these new fangled bikes with computers and all.... Making me look like a total fool! Oh well, learning never ends I suppose.

24 k service today & a new set of anakee 3's, I'm packing for Norway at the moment - shipping the bike off on Thursday - not long to go - not 100% sure how long i'm there for or how i'm getting back yet.

Packing a bit differently this year, new duffel bag/tankbag/pannier liners, plus a fancy new tent which i'm hoping after several day's use won't be feel like much more work to put up/down.

I also found the sticker pack I was looking for a while back and have some tank pads now - i prefer its look now.

The silver is a bit unusual and good looking! Enjoy Norway.

AltRider Crash guards installed today. Got them from Jaxon. Sweat and Elbow grease when you do it on your own. That Radiator post rubber grommet was one big PITA.

But done.

Just added a set of Sargent seats. Hopefully this helps with my sore tailbone from my sorta long commute, ~80 miles each way..

Torque Wrench:

Instructions say screws on billet bar to be tightened to 8nm and the 19mm Mount Bolts to be tightened to 75nm.

Is there a wrench available that can handle both the settlings?

Beam types will do it but I recommend against them on the lower end of the range b/c they are not particularly easy to be precise with. Much prefer the clicker types and have two for different ranges. I work on my MTB's all the time and carbon fiber is not something you want to over-toque.

This craftsman will cover the range

I rode my RED 2015 to the summit of MT. Evans, Colorado today which is the highest paved road in North America. I have tried to ride to the top numerous times over a 20 year time span with negative results due to the fact that the road is open only from sometime in June each year, yet closes after a Labor Day every year. One more ride off the bucket list.
