Thanks, the bike is growing on me. Most of the major work that will impact how it looks is done. The final thing that remains (looks wise) is to get those 80/20 tires off it and the E07s on. I always think a knobby just looks better. I'll get to it. Unless I'm away from home, I expect the bike to look like this most of the time.

At 1200+ miles I no longer have Yamaha nagging me to avoid prolonged operation above xx RPMs. The results of unshackling my right wrist have done a lot to help me warm up to the bike. It really is noticeably quicker than my unflashed, clutch jumpered 2012s. It is not as fast as your flashed bike, CW. I felt confident I could twist my wrist in a turn and easily break traction on your bike, I have not found that to be the case on my '15. The extra grunt on the '15 seems very usable. Of course I'm only starting to explore this bike and I reserve the right to revise and extend my findings.
Have you experimented with the T and S modes? I find the difference between 2012 and 2015 to be huge. Ton of low end power with the S mode but very tweaky (throttle). Use it a lot while climbing.

Went on a great ride with Tomatocity last Saturday: starting in Ione, heading out towards the 108 going east to the 395, then to the 88 to the 4 back west to home. Excellent day, weather, and roads. The higher the elevation the better the air smelled, like God's own fragrance. Awesome day! ::012:: I highly recommend the view from the top of the passes we rode through. On a side note, the Heidenau K-60's were perfect, their grip on all the hot pavement was great, with no slipping or sliding across the odd tar strip. Until I take theses tires through some rain and snow I am thinking these tires are perfect for the Tenere. They are solid in all the dirt and gravel and (little) water I have ridden through so far. We will see what they are like next winter!

Some, but not a lot. Of course I could say I knew very little of T mode on the last bike. I pretty much only use it as my rain or snow on pavement mode. It was raining when we left the other day, so I did get to use T mode. Bike was smooth and docile. That's what I like on wet roads. Otherwise, I'm in S all the time. I do find I'm needing to exercise great discipline when riding slowly in higher density areas. The throttle is very responsive and a small amount of input gives a big reaction. I'm still thinking I can train myself to stay in S, but I know T is always there if I just can't do it.

On my 2014 when in S mode I find it camn be a bit 'jerky' if you a re holding a constant throttle at say 30 mph...and you hit a bump..causes a lurch..T mode calms it down a bit ::008::

I installed a pair of piaa driving lights and put a yellow headlight bulb in the left headlight. Now i have a yellow tinted headlight, one regular headlight, and the led driving lights. I think i have it covered now.

Throttle body sync seems to calm this down a bit. Got a 14 and seemed to help.

Removed the bracket and wiring for my Garmin 590, then wired up and fitted the bracket for my new Montana 650T.

... Not done today, but here is a pick of my Clearwater Erica's 60watt LED lights

Nice Erica's iClint.

Did the mounting bracket under the lights come from Clearwater?
No, They do have an under headlight mount listed on their site but no pictures. The mounts were from my PIAA's I just flared them a little to take the larger light and drilled out the holes for the larger Clearwater bolts. While I was at it i replaced the Bolts that came with the PIAA's for mounting the brackets which were rusting with some zinc plated hardware.

I put my centerstand on. The PO (dealer -took it off "to reduce weight") lost it. I got one off Ebay for $90 shipped. After using the search (what a great search this sit has!) , I used the penny method to get the spring on.
Now, when I change the oil I don't have to use straps between my roll-up garage door to hold the S10 straight. Not to mention all the other useful things one can do.

Why does "not to mention" always precede something you're going to mention?

What a PITA it would be without a center stand. Although I'm sure the bike is so much harder for you to handle not that it has the burden of a stand. ::)

Greased the steering stem bearings. found that the bottom bolts for the handle bar clamps were lose as well as the top bolt not any where near the torque it should have been there was some grease on the bearings. Everything back together and torqued to spec should be good to go for a while.

Added the Rox block bar risers. Effectively moving the bars 1" closer to me and 1" higher. Just about perfect for me at 5'8". That coupled with the seat mod makes for a very comfortable ride. This site is great. I studied long and hard on which risers to use. Didn't want to deal with too much tension on brake and clutch lines and did n't want to mess with longer lines right now. Leaving on a trip to Colorado tomorrow so I'll get to really try them out. ::015::
